New mommy to twins!

Well my name is Kymy, I am 23 & married for 3 years. I have a 22 month old son & on May 29th gave birth to 2 beautiful ID baby girls via c-section. C-section wasn't my first choice, as I had a text book pregnancy, but when I went into labor at 35w6d they both decided to start flipping... they both flipped twice while they were monitoring me!!! None the less a c-section it was!!! For such an easy pregnancy my recovery SUCKED. My BP sky rocketed & I was on mag for 3 nasty days. We were in the hospital for a full week... not because of the girls but because of me! Anyways we are home now... have been for 5 days, & we are starting to adjust. My son is doing EXTREMELY well with everything so far which is a huge relief! We asked him 'should we take sissy's back?' he said 'NO' than I asked 'should we keep them' his responce was 'YES, YES, YES!'

The only big challenge so far is the feeding thing... its not to bad & luckily in WA we have GREAT laws in regaurds to taking your paid sick leave to take care of family... since I had a c-section my hubby gets to use all 4 weeks of his paid sick leave!!!! That has been a HUGE help!

Anyways I have been on the expecting forum for a few months, but now its time for me to hop over here! I just wanted to share some stats & a few pictures! I look forward to getting LOTS of good advice!

They were slightly jaundice & had to spend a day in the ‘baby tanning bed’ as we liked to call it!

Except for the pics that are labeled to let you know… if you look for blankets, headbands & binkies for right now Baylie is purple & Carlie is pink… they have matching toe nails as well If you are watching the slideshow & want to see the full size pic just click on it & it will open up in another window so you can do so.

& this is me now well actually a few days ago... Caspian always wants to take pics of odd stuff like me breastfeeding!!!! Anyways last I checked (a few days ago) I was 142.... I was 172/173 when I went into labor
:shock: The jeans I am wearing are a size 10 :shock: I only have about 5lbs to lose to get back to my pre-prego weight... & another 5-10lbs to lose to get back to my happy place But I will NEVER be showing off my stomach again!!!!! :cry: :twisted:

Congratulations!!! They really are soooooooo beautiful. And I too am completely jealous about your weight loss being so quick but happy for you. I have a girlfriend who also gave birth to twins recently and was 5 lbs from her pre-preg weight only 2 weeks after GRRRRRRR. Anywhoo, congrats and welcome to the FY board. I'm now in 1-5 but still have to come here daily to see what the other FY moms are up to

BTW...you gave birth on my dad's b-day so super YAY!!!!!

congrats -they are BEAUTIFUL! And you look great. isn't it weird how we can be soooo big - and then we're not?

I love the one w/their arms entwined, even though seeing the eye masks brings back sad memories for me....they are soo sweet!
