New Mommy to Mattie and Cash :)

    On Sat. April 7th my twins Mattie and Cash were born at 10:50 and 10:52 AM by c-section. I was 36 weeks and 4 days. I had a scheduled c-section for 4-15 but early early Sat. morn my water broke so off to the hospital we went. Mattie was baby A and she weighed 5 lbs 2 oz and scored a "10" on her Apgar!! A first for the pediatrician:) Cash was baby B and he weighed 5 lbs 10 oz, he scored a 9 on his apgar as his hands were a little purple. Both babies were able to stay with us the whole time and had no nicu time. Such a relief as I had been admitted at 31 weeks for PTL and had been on a modified bed rest ever since.

    We were all able to go home yesterday. We feel so blessed to finally have our family. Have only just begun to post on this site but have really enjoyed browsing through it these last few months and have gained a lot of very useful info as well as inspiration from many of you. Wishing the best to all of you and your future families as well:):)

    :Clapping: Congratulations on your healthy babies, I love hearing stories of no NICU time. Hopefully you can post some pictures of your little ones, I cry everytime I see newborn baby pictures. I know I'm a total sap!

    How has the recovery been from the c-section?

    Recovery has been pretty good. I had a vertical incision due to prior abdominal surgeries and then my uterus was cut transverse so that a VBAC would still be possible should we have further children. I have noticed that incision and tummy do get sore after breastfeeding as boppy rests right on incision, ouch. Hopefully in a few more days staples will be removed and area won't be quite so tender.
