    Hi!

My name is Sara. This is our second pregnancy, with no live births. We lost our first baby to miscarriage in January 2008. It was completely devastating and makes me very, very, nervous and scared.

On Oct. 15th, I had my first prenatal visit. The OB wanted to see a fetus before she sent me to the OB Educator. I had a transvaginal ultrasound and immediately, my husband saw TWO babies. They both had heartbeats around 120. One measured 6w 4d (right on.) ahttp://www.twinstuff.com/forum/style_images/webber1174324027/folder_editor_images/icon_open.gifnd the other was 6w 1d (a little behind). I am scared to death to lose these babies.

I had some spotting during the 5th week and also on 6w, but no more so far! I feel pretty good, I have a cold right now, MASSIVE nausea and vomiting, which isn't too bad... As long as my little twins make it.

I try to think as positive as I can and pray, pray, pray. I think I just need a little more support and I am excited to have found this site.

A picture of our beans. They thought that I had a uterine septum because they are far apart, but I have all ready been to the Maternal Fetal Medicine Center and all that specialist said was "fantastic." What do you think?

Congrats!!! Being a twin mommy is very scary! You will feel like this is a roller coaster ride and once your adorable babies are here, you'll finally be able to hobble off, only to begin the journey of mommyhood. :) This website saved my sanity when I was pregnant and is still my first stop for any child rearing question I have. WELCOME!!

Congratulations and welcome!! My babies gestational sacs were far apart in the early days as well. Turns out Baby A has a posterior placenta and Baby B has an anterior placenta. Don't know for sure if that is why they are so far apart but in any case they are perfectly fine. Here's my 6 week ultrasound pic so you can see.

    Welcome and congrats!

Your story sounds alot like mine. I got pregnant for the first time last year and miscarried then got pregnant again with twins! I had bleeding in the beginning, but it stopped and both babies are doing just fine.

I was insanely paranoid, scared, nervous, etc. my entire pregnancy. I drove my OB crazy!
If you ever want to talk, I'm here! I, too, had a miscarriage and then a failed IVF before I finally
got my two little ones! They are 4 months old and worth every bit of sacrifice I gave throughout my
    pregnancy.

    Congratulations!

Thank you for your reply! It was exactly what I needed to hear...that someone could carry twins after a miscarriage!! I am so nervous, but every day gets a little better. I lost my angel babe at 7w, 4 d and today, I am 7 w, 2 d. I know I am not nearly out of the woods after that day, but I hope I can breathe a little easier after that is over.

My OB better get ready! I was highrisk before twins and with this mind, I am all ready a mess!

    hugs and Thank you!

Welcome and congratulations to you! It is super scary especially after a loss (which I am sad to hear). I think with each stage we get more nervous but try to enjoy the pregnancy as much as you can. I know that is hard to do but when I was scared I would tell myself the babies can feel that and I needed to be strong for them. Then I would start to talk to them and tell them how much I loved them. That really helped me calm down and just relax. After 5yrs of dissapointments I was waiting for something bad to happen (just my luck type of thing) but I repeated that phrase above over and over and I really wound up enjoying my pregnancy and worrying less and less. I agree sign up to have a big sister and visit often we are here for ya!
