New mom-to be saying hello! Due Jan. 13.

    Hi everyone-

    My name is Traci, and my husband and I live in the St. Louis area. Our twins are due January 13th, and we find out August 23 whether we're having boys, girls, or one of each!
    I'm blessed to know a handful of moms who have twins, but am still overwhelmed when it comes to getting the equipment. Have been wading through all the carseats and strollers and think we're going with Graco Snugrides (not sure 32 or 35 yet- probably 35) and the Graco Quattro double stroller. But wow- all the decisions to be made! It will be so nice to know the sexes so I can get it in gear decorating the nursery. :)
    We're also beginning to investigate nannies. We know we want someone to come to our home at least for the first year, and I go back to work (assuming the babies are born in January) sometime in April. Seems so early to be scouting out a nanny, but everyone says to start now... big decisions!

    Anyone have tips on what breastfeeding equipment/accessories to buy? I'm planning to try that method and am going to register for a dual pump, but would love any suggestions ya'all have. I definitely am open to subsidizing with formula as needed if I can't provide enough for two all the time, but would like to try it.

    I look forward to getting to know other parents on the board and hearing advice/funny stories/tales from the frontlines.

    Welcome, this is a great resource. If you are bf the best pillow is the EZ-2 nurse pillowMy link I used it when nursing my first twins and the only way to nurse tandem. Looks like you are due about 6 weeks before me.

    The EZ 2 Nurse is the best as are double electric pumps from Medela- I have a Pump In Style right now. Stop by the Breastfeeding Forum for more tips/tricks for nursing twins. :)

    Welcome and Congrats!!!

    I haven't had my twins yet, but read up quite a bit and have heard from other twin mommies that the EZ 2 Nurse twin pillow is fantastic, so you might want to check into that! :)
