    Hi-

This is the first time I have submitted any sort of question, but I figured if anyone can help it is the people that chat here. I will be 13 weeks pregnant tomorrow, my fist pregnancy, and with twins. It was a rough road getting here going through multiple different fertility treatments, but we couldn't be happeier.

I don't know why but within the last few days I have started to feel a little strange and I don't know how normal that is...for instance, today I feel like I constantly have to urinate...is this common? Because even when I try to go it doesn't mean there is necessarily a lot there. Also, I feel almost as if there is pressure in my lower abdomen, and it is kind of sore...I am so not used to feeling this way and am not sure if I should be concerned at all. I would love some advice or feedback! Thanks...Nicole

Is there any burning when you urinate? Or odor that is different? At 13 weeks I was peeing all the time, but it wasn't sore. Maybe you have an urinary tract infection?? If so, you need to see your doctor -- in the mean time, flush with lots of fluids, but if there is pain or something just doesn't feel right, I would be seen.

    HI Nicole!
When I was about 13 weeks I had some sort of pulling in my lower abdomen - not soreness really - but it definitely hurt. I called the doc and he said "yeah, you're having twins." LOL. could it just be your uterus starting to expand? That's definitely uncomfortable. And the peeing is very normal.

CONGRATS!! it took us quite a long time, too!

    Congrats! Welcome to the board!

I think our little ones start pounding on our bladders around that time. I know sometimes I think I am having bladder spasms or something and it is just the babes moving around. The pain could be from the uterus expanding. But those symptoms are also signs of a bladder infection, especially if you aren't feeling 'normal'.

Give your doc a call. But more then likely it is just normal pregnancy twinness.

The pressure may be from round ligament pain which I remember feeling around 14 weeks util around 16 weeks. It was very uncomfortable. You should get checked for a UTI because decreased urination with increased frequency is a symptom. I think you should call your OB for a Urine culture ASAP.

Definately sounds like a UTI to me. Please call you OB right away as they can be very dangerous during pregnancy if left untreated.
