    I'd like to say THANK YOU FOR CREATING A PLACE FOR TWIN MOM'S/MOM'S TO BE TO COME TOGETHER =]

    My name is Veronica, I'm 18 years old from Upstate, NY & I am expecting two identical twin boy bundles of joy March 15th, 2008 with my amazing boyfriend of 3 years. I am currently 35 weeks pregnant & can not wait until their born! My twins, to be named Anthony & Angelo (yes, we're very italian!), are Mono-Di twins (2 sacs, 1 placenta), weighing in at their 34 week appt @@ 5lbs5oz & 4lbs14oz.

    Baby A is happy and healthy, while Baby B, still healthy & happy has been diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect, which is a common heart condition also known as a 'hole in the heart'. He is growing accordingly however, but will possibly be looking at heart surgery around 4-6 months. We have a lot of hope because while it is still scary, the defect has a great outcome. He will be spending his first few days of life being observed in the NICU for a more accurate diagnoses.

    Baby A is currently vertex/head down & Baby B is transverse (laying across). I am still looking at a vaginal birth because the doc believes as long as Baby A is presenting head down, we should be able to turn Baby B.

    So far, I've had a picture perfect birth.. well I'm sure I could complain, but I won't! No signs so far of delivering any earlier and as much as I want them to come out & play, getting closest as possible to 40 weeks would be just fine!

    Well, that is my story as it is. I'm sure I will be back and forth updating with news as soon as I get it!

    I recently joined TS too. And we have a LOT in common. I'm due March 15 with mono/di twin boys too! :D

    Welcome to the site. That is so cool, we live about 30 minutes or so from Rochester. Are you delivering at Strong or Park Ridge? Glad your pregnancy is going well so far.

    Thanks =] I was suppose to deliver at Park Ridge, but they thought it was best to deliver @@ Strong because their more technical with the high-risk scenarios

    Thanks! It's really funny how your b/g twins names are Anthony & Angelina.. that was my selection if I was to have b/g twins.. since I'm having b/b, Anthony & Angelo work! Hehe

    Strong is a very good hospital from what I have heard from others, it is also where all of the u/s go to be read before my dr sees the results. I have heard really good things about their maturnity ward. You will be in excellent hands.

    I am delivering at Thompson. I love my OB and have had previous surgeries there. I did not deliver my other babies there though, but the maternity ward is beautiful.
