    Hi everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself. I have 8 month old twins and I just found out yesterday that we are expecting again! We are pretty shocked, just trying to take it all in.
I went into pre term labor at 22 weeks with my girls and spent the next 6 weeks in the hospital on Mag. The girls were born at 28 weeks and had a two month NICU stay. My only worry is that I will be put on Hospital bed rest again. I can't imagine doing that to my little babies!
I am going to the Dr. tomorrow for an U/S so we can find out when I am due and make sure there is only one! I know I will have a lot of my questions answered then but I do have one for you...
Have any of you had a hard pregnancy (pre term labor, bed rest...) w/your twins and an easier one w/your singleton? I need positive stories!
I look forward to getting to know you!

Well congrats and welcome! I love your little girls names! I got pregnant with my #4 when my twins were 7 months, so I have been in your boat. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Welcome. Once the shock wears off, the excitement will set in!

Our twins were 9 months old when I got pregnant and I had a few medical problems to deal with during that pregnancy. So I worried about this one as well. So far everything has been great and a lot easier being pregnant with only one. Good Luck!

I have a positive story for you: I had slightly IUGR twins at 31 weeks (at 3 and slightly less than 3 pounds) 4 years ago. Then I went on to have a very healthy 42 weeker 3 years later. All 3 are beautiful and healthy now!
So good luck and to a long and easy pregnancy, Millie

I had alot of complications with me twin pregnancy. I was put on bedrest at 20 weeks with them and had them at 35 weeks. I had extreme m/s with this pregnancy but so far no complications. Its been nice to enjoy my pregnanct this time and not worry as much as before.

Congratulations and wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!!

CONGRATS on your pregnancy!!! WE are so glad to have you!!!

I had PTL and bedrest like you, only not quite as early. I was 1 cm dilated at 27 weeks and placed on bedrest. Spent most of weeks 30-34 on hospital bedrest (about 24 days) and was on the terb, mag, all that good stuff. I delivered at 34w1d adn my twins were in the NICU for 17 days as growers feeders.

However, this time around has been a breeze!!! I'm having a scheduled c-section in 22 days!!! WOO HOO!!! No complications and not even a call into my dr. this time around!

Goodluck to you! Let us know how the u/s goes!

    Congratulations!

My two "mommy complications" with the twin pregnancy were cholestasis and HELLP syndrome. Both have a 30-50% chance of occurring with subsequent pregnancies. I was watched closely while pregnant with Dax and went through tons of blood tests to see if either complication was arising again. They never did and I had such a clean bill of health that my OB transferred me to the midwives. I was induced at 41.4 weeks and had a VBAC. For me, carrying one baby was a breeze compared to the twin pregnancy. I could have easily gone longer.

The twins also had complications of their own and we didn't have to deal with any of that with Dax.

Welcome and congrats on your wonderful news! I had PTL with my twins at 28 weeks (was on bedrest from 25 weeks) and spent the rest of the pg (until 34 weeks) on bed rest in the hospital on and off Mag (I used to call it the drunk without the margharita!). Then 2 years later I had my daughter at 38 weeks with no complications...she was even a VBAC...it was perfect! Hoping for the same scenario with #4!!!!

Good luck at your appt, keep us posted!!!

    Congrats!!

I had PTL with my twins and delivered at 31 weeks. I went on to carry a singleton to my 38w 6d c-section and am currently at 30 weeks with this pregnancy without any complications so far.

    Best of luck!!

Well, the tec. could only find one baby...(whew!!).
    I'm due October 15th.
So that makes me 6.5 weeks.
