new here :)

Hi everyone! This is my first time here, a friend of mine suggested this site to me so I thought I would check it out and introduce myself My name is Charlotte, I'm 25, married to Ryan and we live in SoCal right now. We have a 2 year old boy, Remington (Remy) and I am 8 weeks pregnant with twins. If you want to know anything about me, ask away!

We were pretty excited when we found out I was pregnant, we had been talking for a while about having another baby but was no where prepared for this lol. Last Monday was my first ultrasound/appointment and that's when we found out there were not one, but two in there haha. I thought the doctor was playing a joke on me LOL until I saw it for myself. He said well there is your baby, but.. well there is two. I was like two what? haha He said two babies, there's one, and the other! I was like whaaaaa?? And there clear as day were two yolk sacs and I saw one baby and it's little heart beating. The other was sort of hidden at first so I made sure it wasn't the same baby he was looking at haha, but nope I finally saw both of them together, both heartbeats side by side. I was in so much shock for a few days lol. I went in on my 8th week, but the babies measured 7w1d so we're going with that, my due date is Aug 7th (however he said it would probably be July). I thought it was pretty cool that they both measured the same day. I never expected this, but now I'm extremely excited and nervous all at the same time. So now I have all kinds of new worries and wonders and was hoping joining a twin forum would help me out with them. I have had one loss, before my son (a miscarriage early in the pregnancy) so I tend to worry a lot more then I should, but everything looked great on the ultrasound from what the doctor said so all I can do is be excited! I know barely anything about twins haha so I hope to learn here.

Welcome! I had the same reaction when they said there were two, I think I cursed because my doctor wasn't happy with me. The women here are really supportive!

 

Congratulations! I screamed when I saw two for the first time...twins do not run in my family...so total shock for us., But, it is the best gift that I have ever received! Twins are amazing!!

I went to my car and cried when I found out I was having twins, and not really happy tears... :cry:
but now they are almost 3 and everything is a-okay!!

Welcome! And congrats! Yeah I completly understand the worry after a loss we lost a pregnancy earlier this year and I worry at every twinge too! But I hope you find this forum as helpful as I have! Goodluck!
