Hi I found out 2 days ago that I am 8w pregnant with twins. I am over the moon excited about twins, but scared to death at the same time. Babes were measuring spot on and had the same heart rate. I cannot stop worrying about money and insurance. I have a great husband and 2 other kiddos. My daughter just turned 5 and my son is 2 1/2. Any tips on what I can expect pregnancy wise? I am already in full maternity clothes. What about DR appt wise? Any suggestions for a buggy that will take 2 infant car seats too? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
First of all welcome! Secondly, dont worry! The more relaxed and not worried you are the better it is for your babies! There are lots of strollers that hold two car seats, you have tons of options!! Doctor wise, you will have more appointments and more ultrasounds... Maybe an extra doctor (a peri) but maybe not, just depends on your doctor and his way of dealing with things!! So, congrats! And feel free to ask any questions, its a great bunch of women here!!
Welcome to TS! I found out at 8 weeks too and felt the exact same way. Just relax...there is tons of time to get get things all figured out! Just spend some time reading posts here and you'll soon learn everything you need to! I found that I was overwhelmed by all the information but by around 20 weeks, everything had kind of sunk in and I don't feel so overwhelmed anymore. Good luck and you're in the right place! TS is the perfect place for you to be. Cary
Hey Congrats!! I am sure you will be fine! I was way worried about the twins when I found out there were two, I suddenly felt more fragile! Anyway, welcome!!
:sign0016: to TS and CONGRATS. I think you'll find that alot of us were overwhelmed when we found out we were having twins. You'll find all the answers you need for your questions. Feel free to ask anything and just relax.

It's a great program. Welcome again and I look forward to learning more about you.
Congratulations and welcome to Twinstuff! I think your worries are completely normal and one of the great things about pregnancy being as long as it is, gives plenty of time to put a plan in place, you can do it! Glad to see you found you due date roll call, definitely check out the Expecting Roll Call thread at the top of this forum and follow the links to share your upcoming appointments and milestones. I look forward to getting to know you!
Congratulations on your twins! It's pretty overwhelming news to be given, but try not to worry too much (easier said than done!) I felt the same way when I was told there were 2, but over time I've become less worried and more excited about the prospect of twins! You're definitely in the right place- twin stuff has so many great people who are going through the same things that you are! Good luck and welcome!
You'll do just fine! I'm sure your dd will be a big help with the twins. My dd was 20 months when my twins were born, and it wasn't a bad adjustment at all...so hopefully your ds will be okay not being the baby anymore. We used the duoglider here...it was the cheapest stroller I could find that allowed for both infant car seats OR a toddler to sit in there. There is a really cheap frame one that you can put the seats in...but obviously not your toddler. I just wanted one stroller that would be flexible...then sometimes I would put one of the twins in my baby bjorn, the other in the stroller along with my toddler. When the twins moved to over six months old I bumped them to a double umbrella stroller by Kohlcraft b/c it was so much more manageable. There's a ton of great strollers out there...it all depends on how much you are willing to pay!! I know lots of twin mommies who become stroller collectors b/c they are just addicted to finding the perfect stroller to meet their needs! LOL... if I had the money I'd probably do that too!
Congrats!!! I had two older ones that were 5.5 & 2.5 when they were born. That was tough but now they play so nicely. We never got a triplet stroller or anything bc my 2.5 yr old would sit in one seat and I put one baby in the baby bjorn. There is a great double jogger I got that is called the InStep Mall cruiser. It has a little spot on the front for the older one to sit on (not sure if thats what its meant for but it works!!) and the babies in the back. And it fits through all doorways and is very easy to manuever. As for everything else....you will be amazed at how it just falls into place!!
I know how you feel about being overwhelmed. I found out at 8 weeks. My youngest was only 10 months when we found out. I have 3 boys ages 6, 3, 15 months so you can imagine my surprize being on over the counter birth control that I was pregnant with twins. So far it has been mostly a whirl wind of emotion but other than that my pregnancy has been a breeze, I even got the ok to go see my Mom who lives 6 hours away. So with some people it is easier than others I think. Good luck and try not too worry so much. TS helped me a lot get through the emotional stand point. Heather
