New here...glad I found this board!

Hi everyone. My name is Michele. I am 37 years old. My husband and I have been married 11 years and we have 5 children and 2 angel babies that I miscarried. Here is my story....
I found out I was pregnant in Dec. but we agreed not to tell anyone since I just had a miscarriage in Sept. We wanted to wait till the 12 week mark. Well on Christmas eve I started cramping and bleeding. I knew for sure that I miscarried. For a week and a half I was cramping and bleeding, then on this past Wednesday I went in for an ultrasound because I wanted to make sure that I "passed" everything. Anyhow...to our surprise, I didnt miscarry at all....I am pregnant with twins!!! The cramping and bleeding was from the uterus growing and stretching! We are SO excited yet nervous because I have a bicornuated uterus (it is shaped like a heart). I have not been able to carry any of my kids to term...I had them all at 34 weeks. So now I am worried how my body is going to be able to carry 2 babies!
Anyhow...I am very happy to have found this board and get to know all of you!

Hi Michele and to TS! I found this board when I was pregnant with my twins and it has been great. I get a lot of support and answers here and I must admit, I am addicted. Congratulations on your twins!! That is such wonderful news. Please feel free to post your due date in the sticky at the top of the forum. Please also post any upcoming appointments and milestones so that we can celebrate with you. I look forward to getting to know you!

 

Welcome to TS Michele! I too have the heart shaped uterus & even though i had my twins early, it wasn't because of that it was due to HELLP syndrome/Pre-E. I was able to carry my daughter to term (39 weeks scheduled C-section)!

You won't be sorry you've found TS, i've been here 3 years the end of Janurary & it's been a god send to me! Looking foward to getting to know you better!

Congratulations on your twins! I'm so happy for you.

I'm impressed that you've had 5 so early; my twins were born at 35 wks and I think if I'd gone through the NICU experience with my first, I might not have ever tried again. You are very courageous!

Who knows, maybe you'll defy the odds and carry longer this time!

Congratulations Michele and welcome to TS. What a surprising way to find out you are expecting twins! Twins mature faster than singletons so, even if you have to deliver the babies between 32-34 weeks, they'll probably be just fine. Many 35 weeker twins go right home.
