and i'm going nuts already. my doctor says its routine to put all his twin mommies on bedrest at 24 weeks.. for at least 4 weeks if not until i have the little buggers...

what does everyone do to stay busy?

i have long stretches of intense boredom, but slowly am finding things to fill the time. I joined a book rental club (like netflix only for books since I can't go to the library), surf the internet, talk on the phone, and am currently trying to find a nanny for my other 2 kids. Also today I discovered online games and before I knew it I had killed almost an hour. I'm also obsessing about my protein intake and am counting grams like they are gold.

Rent movies (Netflix is awesome), Sudoku, also renting whole series of shows works too. I tried reading, but I always fell asleep.

I was put on hospital bedrest at 25 weeks, and I know how hard it is. Setting a routine was key for me so I had something to look foward to each day. Some of the things I did to keep busy were TS (obviously), I started a blog, manicure set (too bad I couldn't reach my toes), soduku puzzles, magazines, movies, online shopping, and TV.

Every day you can keep those babies in is a miracle, and helps them out tremendously! It will all be over before you know it! Good Luck!

I have my sons here with me, we're doing a little trial run this week to see if it will work for my 2 yr old to be here with me until 2pm when I have help. Anyways, we've been playing a lot of UNO, Gamecube and watching a lot of Christmas movies - which thankfully usually end with a sleeping 2 year old. :)

I have not heard it is the norm to put people on bed rest at 24 weeks. My SIL had twins and worked until the day before she delivered at 35 weeks!!!

I watch tv, movies, read, play on the computer...it gets easier once you get into the swing of things. I am on my 4th week now, hopefully 16 more weeks to go!!!

I am only on day 6 of bedrest & am pretttttty bored.
I am mostly online browsing on the laptop, cross-stitching a really easy bib (who knew I was so crafty :) ) and watching a TON of TV!! Thankfully I was so behind on my TiVo that I have 45+ Oprah's and Dr. Phils saved up!!

My Ob imposes a mandatory 26 week bedrest policy so I will be right there will you soon.

Your forced to be on br @ 24w? I was only put on modified BR @ 29w because I was having a lot of BH and was dialated 1 cm. It wasn't for 2 more weeks when I was put on strict BR due to ptl. What I did was watch TV, read books, chat online and talk on the phone.

I was placed on restricted work hours, 4 hours a day from Week 14 to Week 24. My uterus became more irritated and I had to quit working and go on strict bedrest, I could shower and use the restroom. Week 29, I was admitted and on hospital Bed Rest.

I thought I would go insane, thank God I found TS.
