OK I guess I dont necicarrily belong to this site, yet. My proble is that I had a miscarriage in September, after that I never had a period and here I am 5 weeks pregnant again!! Since I had a recent miscarriage, they checked my HCG levels, and they trippled in a 44 hour period. Does this mean there may be 2 of the lil ones in there? Did any of you ever experience this? I am extreamly tired and it seems as if I am really bloated. My next appointment isnt until Dec 10th So I just need a lil advice til then Thanks!!

Hmmmmmmmmm.. I don't know anything about HCG but I from 4 weeks till 8 weeks, I was dead tired non stop and sick too.. We thought it was a girl because this was all differ from my son.. After I found out at 12 weeks that it was twins, I also found out that twin mom pregnancys are sometimes more tired and sick. Sorry, I know that is not much help!

Mine were VERY high and I was showing a lot sooner than a normal single pregnancy would have and the U/S confirmed two little beans.

Well it was my hormone levels that got me sent to an u/s (were we saw 2) I had just found out I was pregnant (5 weeks) and they sent me because the levels were the levels of 8-9 week singleton… well I am sooo tired, and sick to the point I have to take a pill every 5-7 days because I run the risk of dehydration… and I was pouching out WAY early…. But that could be because it’s my second, but I wasn’t THIS tired with my son OR sick this long with my son… don’t know if that helps???

for a singleton, your HCG levels are supposed to double every 48 hours.

What were your levels and on what days of your cycle?

cgeck out these charts (scroll down to charts)

There are some great comparison charts out there. I don't remember the one I used every blessed week to check mine but I do know that I found it through Google, God bless Google! :p

Here are my levels if you want a point of reference!( we did weeklys until I could get into the office for sonos)
    DPO- days post ovulation
    15dpo-147
    18dpo-461
    26dpo-7,444
    32dpo-31,000
    39dpo-88,093

Beta Base is a good website to check.

    16 DPO: Beta#2 644
    19 DPO: Beta#3 1841

On day 18 past ovulation my count was in the 800's and on day 20 past ovulation it was in the 2600's. I dont remember the exact #'s.

Do you know your actual HCG level? Mine was 311 at 14 dpo and it doubled in like 29 hours. However, that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I have seen ladies with super high HCG and only a singleton! See if you can get an u/s at 6 weeks to see if you have 2! :)

I dont know what my actual levels were but they were not high enough initially to tell that I was having twins. The only way we knew was from the Ultra sound.
    Good luck.

To offer the counterpoint here...this pg I felt it very early...as soon as I was pg I was exhausted...by 5 weeks3days my hcg levels were 21,000!! Totally thought I might be having twins again. But it was "just" one....so sometimes those levels can just go up really fast for some women regardless of twins. If you look at the charts for hcg for twins versus singletons there is a lot of cross over ground where normal for one woman could fall into either category. U/S is obviously the only way to really confirm anything.
