    Hi All

Firstly a big congratulations to you all, you must all be so happy (and scared lol)

Well... i had an US last week at 7+1, they found 2 sacs one was measuring 6+6 with a happy healthy little baby with a heart beat. The other sca measured 12mm but appeared to have nothing in it. They also found a small heamorrhage. So as you can guess my question is did any of you experience this? They told e they didnt think the second sac would grow, which is sad but at least i have one little baby, but i just wondered if anyone had this and went on to find the other
    baby had grown?

I have another scan in 2 weeks which is toooooooooooo long to wait!

    Thanks in advance

At my first ultrasound (it was also around 7 weeks) with my youngest, there were 2 sacs. One contained a baby (Ellie) the other was empty. It never grew anything. My doctor said there was no way to tell if it was a bleed, an empty sac where there never was anything, or a sac that once held a tiny heartbeat.

I know that's not what you wanted to hear, sorry; I hope you get some other perspectives! :hug99:

I had two sacs, but just one heartbeat at 7 weeks. My doctor never suggested twins, but she wanted me to come back in two weeks for another ultrasound to make sure it had reabsorbed back into my body. There was something in it, but it was very small and the sac itself was smaller than the other one with the heartbeat. I didn't even think twice about the possibility of twins because my doctor never even went there. It was clear that the second sac was not viable in her opinion.

Look at the picture to the left. That beautiful little princess was once my "empty sac." I wish you all the luck.

Hi, I know the chances are slim due to the size of the sac, but i can live in hope i guess :)

I don’t have a story to tell but totally agree with you that waiting between u/s for answers is murder… just think positive (I know some women will have the stories you want to hear). With my first pregnancy I think I sent myself to bed rest from all the worry in between u/s… and who’s to say it isn’t why he arrived at 35 weeks… early BUT perfectly healthy…

I had two heartbeats (one a week behind) at 7.5 weeks. My smaller one didn't make it. I had to wait two weeks to find that out. But like Kate said, there is hope! Please update us! :hug99:

At 7 weeks I had 2 sacs and a hemmorage spot, and neither sac had a heartbeat. I was told I did not have a viable pregnancy. Well 7 days later the hemmorage was gone, and both sacs had a heartbeat, and here I am now at 26 weeks pregnant with girl twins. Best wishes to you!
