    Hello all,

I have been stalking the board for a couple weeks as I have had a long hard journey to get to where I am today. I had two losses back to back before I finally had my daughter (which was nearly 7 years ago now)...and then have had two confirmed losses since her and now finally made it this far. At our 6wk 4dy U/S to confirm viability (I had just had a blighted ovum two months prior), we found out we were having Di/Di Fraternal twins and I just can't be more excited!! I was so nervous for the next few weeks because I have had several bouts of spotting (mostly pink, some rusty red) and two instances (three now this morning) of red streaks on my toilet paper. I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma at 8wks which has made me nervous (especially from all the googling *not a good idea)...I just hope my babies stay healthy and keep growing strong!! This board has been a big help already with calming many of my fears simply from reading all the positive stories!!! I just hope that I will be one of them by springtime next year!!

Congrats on your twins!!! I was diagnosed with an SCH at 8.5 weeks as well...following a SERIOUS bout of bleeding that convinced me I was losing these babies. I did 6 weeks of bedrest (some strict, some 'taking it easy') and my SCH was completely healed by 14 week u/s! Have you ever been tested for any blood clotting disorders due to your hx of multiple losses? The reason I ask is b/c multiple losses and SCH's have been linked sometimes to these issues. I was put on baby aspirin (81mg low-dose aspirin) as a precaution with my pregnancy b/c I have clotting risk factors. I even took the aspirin despite the SCH, which still healed just fine. I would definitely recommend asking your doc about it. I am now 21 weeks and looking forward (FINALLY) to approaching viability with my girl/boy twins.

Yes, looking SCH's up on the internet is mighty frightening...but they USUALLY heal up and cause no problems. GL!!!

Thanks for your response. Yes, I have had rounds and rounds of testing. I do take baby asprin daily as well as progesterone and B Complex along with my prenatal. the one blood test that comes up differently (and I have taken it four different times over the past 6 years) is the Protein S (clotting issue). I tend to get a defficiency while I am pg and it is normally fine when I am not. So, hence the baby asprin.

But even with the remedy, (asprin and progesterone) I still lost the last two babies (one at 5-6wks and one blighted ovum found at 8wks). Not sure what helped this time, the only thing different is the B Complex (which I read and talked to my RE and OB about - helps with lowering the risk of MC). Who knows...I just also keep praying that God is keeping them safe. Something is working!!

I will be hoping for a great outcome for you!! I had a m/c with a singleton in February (Valentine's Day - ugh). I then initiated B12 with intrinsi factor (to assist with absorption) prior to my current pregnancy - and I took progesterone in the first few weeks of this pregnancy. Now I'm 27 weeks with di- di- twin girls and extremely excited.

I'm so glad that your doctor did so much testing and trying to prevent the losses. I'm also VERY glad you're on BA. Taking it in no way hindered my SCH from healing. I don't have the 'regular' clotting disorders either, but am positive for the thyroid antibody and have some other auto-immune issues, and these are related to blood clots in pregnancy. I'm also glad they have you on progesterone....GL and keep those babies cooking!!!!
