Hi! I'm Gina, wife to Scott, and mom to Sara and Sam. Scott is Navy and we are stationed in Naples, Italy. I"m excitedly expecting twins December 15. These will be our last, without a doubt! This pregnancy has been blissfully boring, with the exception of some rapid weight loss (30 lbs) that I'm trying to correct. Also, there is no NICU at the hospital here on base, so next month we'll be moving to Germany to wait out until I deliver...we have to leave my 25 weeks. It's nice to find a forum dedicated to twins that is active! Nice to meet you all!
Hi Gina and welcome to Twinstuff!!!! Glad you found us ~ this site has been incredibly helpful to me & I am sure you will find the same Good to know it has been an uneventful pregnancy so far with the exception of the weight loss ~ hopefully that fixes itself. How do you like Italy?? Always wanted to go there..... Will you name your twins with 'S' names? (noticed your other 2 kids have 's' names) CUTE! Keep us all posted on your pregnancy & how things go in Germany!
Thanks for your welcome message! Italy is Ok...if you visit, stay north. If there are girls there will be S names...Right now our picks are: Iain James Aidan Alexander Skye Alexandra Sophie Isabelle
Congrats and welcome!! You're just a couple days ahead of me! One of my friends is Air Force and stationed in Italy as well. Germany also looks amazing. My ex was in the Air Force and we were stationed in England. I only got as far as France to visit the rest of Europe but that was really cool. Congrats again and I'm glad to hear you'll be able to move closer to a hospital with NICU.
Hi Gina, welcome to Twinstuff! :sign0016: Congrats on your twins! I would encourage you to join our Big Sister Program. You will be matched up with another Mom with older twins and she will support you throughout your pregnancy. Click on the link in my signature for more information, it's a great program.
:wavey: Gina and Welcome to Twinstuff! Congratulations on your twins. I'm so glad to hear that your pregnancy thus far is boring. Boring is such a great thing! We look forward to getting to know you!! QUOTE(mom2SaraandSam @ Jul 9 2008, 12:59 PM) Iain James Aidan Alexander Skye Alexandra Sophie Isabelle  Beautiful names!! Are you guys going to find out the sexes?
Congrats and :sign0016: I spent 3 years in Kaiserslautern Germany and loved every minute of it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I assume you will be moving to Landstuhl because of the hospital? There is a lot of military support in that Rheinland Phalz area because of the amount of bases around. Keep us updated on your progress!! Did they have a guess as to whether the twins were identical or fraternal?
Hi and welcome. Great name you picked for Sara (that's my name) Congrats on your twins, a boring pregnancy is better than being high risk the entire time. this is a great place to be, I didn't know about till after my twins were born. Have fun and enjoy your last pregnancy.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! and :sign0016: to the TS family!!!!!! YAY!!! for a boring twin pregnancy!!! I love the names you have picked!!!
QUOTE ongrats and sign0016.gif I spent 3 years in Kaiserslautern Germany and loved every minute of it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Keep us updated on your progress!! Did they have a guess as to whether the twins were identical or fraternal? We're at landstuhl, but we're hoping something opens up at Rammstein...We're a lot of people for a 1 bdroom apartment (the 4 of us, then my mother in law is coming in November since were required to have 2 adults with us...one for the kids and one for labor coach)...Rammstein has 2 bdr units but they're full now since we're going up at the end of August and it's PCS season. I honestly can't wait to get up there. I've heard so much good things about the area and the weather (I love cold weather!). Also, there's a Burger King and i've been craving it...lol...(there isn't one here.) They don't know identical or fraternal yet, and haven't been able to get a good look at the placentas yet due to positioning (it looks like they're lined up front to back like little soldiers)
Congrats and welcome! I think it could be so exciting to spend time in either Italy or Germany. Someday I will get there Best of luck to you and I hope this pregnancy stays "boring"
