I’m really concerned about the next feeding and sleeping schedule as my girls are turning 1 in less than a month. I’ve had the same schedule since they were three months old (besides dropping the third nap at 8 months). I’m worried they won’t get enough to eat, they’ll start waking in the night hungry, or I’ll feed them too much and it will spoil the next meal, etc. I know what a balanced meal should contain, what I don’t know is how much and when. I’m sorry this is so long but I’m super worried and DH is no help because he is laid back and obviously I need structure.

    Here is my current schedule:
7:00 wake (6 oz bottles each & about 1 oz cereal with fruit puree)
    9-10:00 nap
11:00 (6 oz bottles each & about 1 oz meat or vegi puree with some cereal for texture)
    12-2:00 nap
3:00 (6 oz bottles each & about 1 oz meat or vegi puree with some cereal for texture)
Some puffs and bit of table food around 5:00
6:45 (6.5 oz bottles each & about 1 oz meat or vegi puree with some cereal for texture)

I’ve been feeding them their bottles first then their solids at the same time. If I space it out it spoils their appetite for their next bottle.

This is what I’ve been able to gather online:
7:00 wake/Breakfast (2 oz of cereal with whole milk, 2 oz fruit, 4oz cows milk)
8:00 snack (4 oz of yogurt and possibility 2 oz of juice water)
    9:00 nap
11:00 Lunch (2 4oz servings of grains, 2 oz of vegi, 8oz of cows milk)
    12:00-2:00 nap
2:30 snack (2 servings of choice, 2oz of juice water)
6:30 Dinner (1 oz protein, 2 oz grains, 2 oz veg, 2oz fruit, 8oz cows milk)

I’m worried if they will be able to eat all this food of over 22 oz a day and drink 16 oz of milk too!

Can someone share what they plan to do when their little ones turn 12 months? Has someone recently gone through this and can share some tips?

Just because mine turned 12 months didnt mean I went and did a schedule change. If what is working for you works, then just gradually add and subtract from it. Do a gradual switch to milk if you want and offer more finger foods and gradually work out of the purees. HTH!

Here is our typical schedule now:

    6:00 wake up

    6:15 1st breakfast
    • milk in sippy (they usually only drink 1-3 ozs) and
    • 3-4 mini pancakes, dried apples or
    • cheerios and 1/2 banana, or
    • waffles, etc
    6:45 leave for daycare

    7:15 breakfast at daycare
    • water sippy with splash of juice and
    • yobaby yogurt and nutrigrain bar or
    • cottage chz with fruit or
    • grits, etc
8:30 5 oz bottle with milk

    9:00-10:30ish nap

    11:00 lunch
    • milk sippy (usually only drink 1-3 oz) and
    • gerber graduates meal or
    • Ditalini pasta with brocolli and chz, or
    • peas and carrots with meat sticks, etc
1:30 7 oz bottle with milk

    2:00 snack
    • water with a splash of juice and
    • apples sauce, puffs, mum mums, yogurt melts, etc
    2:30-4:00ish nap

4:30 sometimes another snack, if hungry and milk sippy

    5:00 pick up from daycare

    6:15 Supper
    • grilled chz, or
    • gerber graduates meal or,
    • whatever we are eating minus salt/spices, etc
7:15 8 oz bottle of milk

    7:50 book then bed

By the time they are twelve months I had hoped to stop bottles, but it looks like it will be gradual. We are trying to drop the morning bottle so I am putting fewer ounces in it and trying to get them to drink more out of the sippies. I am worried about them not drinking enough when we stop bottles. Other than the bottle weaning their eating should remail the same at 12 months. HTH.

I look forward to seeing other responses.

You have to do what works for you. Sometimes it takes other babies longer. We didn't go by the fact that they were 1 year so we need to change things. Just recently we had a night time bottle. We dropped the night time bottle at 2 weeks ago. They have been eating table food since 9 months so no baby food since then but our girls were ready then. Our girls are a little over 13 months and this is what our schedule looks like:

6:30/7:00 a.m. - Sippy cup of whole milk
8:00 a.m. - Breakfast (usually waffles/pancakes and fruit such as bananas or peaches)
    9:00 a.m. - 45 min. nap (time varies)
11:00 a.m. - Sippy cup of whole milk; grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, PBJ, or Gerbers grad meal plus a veggie and a fruit
Noon - 1:30/2:00 -Nap (times vary)
2:00 p.m. - sippy of water with a splash of apple juice, goldfish graham crackers, cheese, fruit
5:00 p.m. - Chicken, pasta or something we are having and always a veggie and fruit and water
    6:00 p.m. - Bath
6:15 p.m. - Sippy of milk (this last one is warmed to hopefully relax them)
After the milk, we brush their teeth, read 2 book
They are usually in bed by 6:45 p.m. and sleep until 6:30 or so.

Good luck and it's ok to take longer if you need to do that. I'd just things gradually. :)

Mine are almost 11 months. Here´s our schedule

8-8.30am (it varies) - DD 8oz with a spoon of cereal (she often leaves 3oz), DS 6oz thickened with cereal and given by spoon (as he´s refusing milk in bottles and sippies)
10am - both 3oz (in sippies) with a biscuit each
    10.30-12pm nap
12.15pm - solids: veg puree that has either meat or fish in it.
3.30-4pm (it varies) - solids: fruit puree
    4.30-6pm - nap
    6pm - a yoghurt each
8pm - DS 8oz with cereal to thicken it, DD 7oz with cereal to thicken it. (Both fed by spoon).
They both have a bath after dinner then off to bed. They are usually asleep by 9pm

I offer water throughout the day and with all meals. Naps sometimes vary earlier or later, and maybe last longer or shorter, but this is more or less what I do. Im going to start table foods asap (pedi is against it before 12 months).

As a PP has written, if your routine is working for you then I´d stick with it. Let your LOs guide you, that´s what Im doing. GL!

edited as forgot to add some info!

Our schedule did not change much at 12 months. Like pp's said, I let my little ones guide me. They were still taking 3 bottles of milk at the time because they needed to put weight on...our schedule was:
    7:30-8:00-bottle of milk (8oz)
    8:30-breakfast
    9:30-11-nap
    11 am-sippy cup/lunch
    2pm-bottle of milk/nap/snack
    2:30-4-nap
    4-snack
    5pm sippy cup/dinner
    7:30-8: bottle of milk

We were on cups at 12 months so our scheudle looked like this:
630 wake up- get a sippy of milk and a graham cracker.
Mom makes her coffee, changes our diapers, starts our breakfast-
    7am ish -eat breakfast ( eggs/pancakes/fruit/oatmeal/yogurt etc)
    830am - nap
wake up from nap have mid morning snack
    1 hour later have lunch
    then have another nap
    then have afternoon snack
    then 1-2 hours later dinner
    baths
    bed

I offered their cups at every meal/snack. We did milk 2-3x a day and water/juice the rest.
