Poor seth… we noticed a while ago that seth only leans to the right… so I called the nurse at my dr office and she said just try to bend him the other way whenever possible and give it a week then call back… well I tried for 2 weeks and he’s not much better… so I called and spoke to the dr himself and he said he wants him to go to a pediatric orthopedic specialist… poor guy… I hope I just get instructions to use sleep positioner and such to help him… I hope it doesn’t require a baby brace (if there is such a thing…) I don’t think its his spine… if I had to guess (and I am NO Dr… ) I would say his mussels are tighter on his right so its more comfortable for him to lean that way….. we go thur AM

I wasn’t concerned for a while as he has rolled from tummy time to back and is on the verge of doing it from back to tummy… and Nathan… not even interested… though he can hold his head up fine, w/out assistance and Seth still can wobble a bit… but DH has got me in a frantic…

Elizabeth, please try and not worry about it until you see and talk to your doctor. :hug99: I know that's not easy. Update us when you know what's going on with your little man.

It sounds like he may have torticollis. If that's the case, a little physical therapy could do the trick. Keep us posted.

I agree with Beth. It sounds like torticollis -- neck muscle spasm (very common in twins because they were pretty scrunched up in the womb). My DS had this, and they gave us some exercises to do on his neck with every diaper change. It worked great. He is just like a normal 5 and 1/2 month old now (and before he only turned to the left). He can roll and lift his neck up much better (and his head is no longer flat on one side because he can turn his neck both ways. Hopefully your doctor will give you those exercises and it will work out okay. Keep us updated.

Thanks everyone… DH doesn’t think it’s torticollis, because that’s a neck thing… and Seth’s is a back/torso thing… but maybe they have the same thing for the back, and all we’ll have to do is PT… as he has ever so slightly started to get a flat spot… but my mom said I would be the only one to notice that… she wouldn’t have even noticed if I hadn’t pointed it out…

    Thanks again :love0028: ,
