    Hey everyone,

Things are going okay, but I need your prayers this week.

I am 31 weeks pregnant. Both boys are growing! …and they look great and are moving all the time.

    Issue #1
I went to the specialist yesterday for my update. Both babies now have low amniotic fluid. Which the doctor said is causes by poor blood circulation to the placenta. The doctor said that I still have good pockets of fluid and he will just keep monitoring me closely. He said that I am not on official bed rest, but if I am not working I should be lying down only to getting up for food, water, and bathroom breaks. This should increase circulation to the placentas and help maintain my amniotic levels. They will be watching this closely. If the fluid continues to drop we will deliver early. My cervix has actually increased in length in the past two weeks, so that shows I am resting.

    Issue #2
    Itching!
I have had itchy skin for a week or two now…..getting worse at night. To the point that it wakes me up and I cannot sleep. It is not dry skin or a rash…..I have been using every lotion under the sun. I have changed to a mild soap. I have been using hydrocortisone and taking Benadryl. Nothing is working. So…….I had some blood work done yesterday and will not have the results until next Tuesday. I might have something called OC (obstetric cholestasis). Which is bad. It has to do with the liver function basically not keeping up with its extra work due to the pregnancy. You can Google it for more info if you would like. This is harmful to the babies. If I have this we will deliver at 34 weeks as soon as the babies lungs are developed.

Please pray that I do not have this!
    What about their lungs??

    Issue #3

I am still anemic! Even with the double dose of iron.

I will see both doctors again next week. They did prescribe something stronger for the itching, and it seems to take a bit of the edge off…..but it only lasts 6hours and causes drowsiness and dizziness. I took it last night, and woke up itching like mad about 6 hours after I took the meds. I took another pill, but it took me a while to get back to sleep.

I only have two weeks left of work....that should help the stress!

Please keep us in your prayers,
    Mishelle

Mishelle, I am so sorry you are dealing with all this.  Did your doctor mention taking you out of work so you can rest more (since it's helping things)?? How about steroid shots in case you have to deliver earlier?

Again, I'm sorry. It's not fair to have these worries while trying to cook your babies. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

I don't have much to offer, other than lots of sympathy!!! BUT, do you take your iron pills with orange juice and a vitamin C? And do NOT take it with milk. Milk hinders the absorbtion of iron and vit C helps it. Making those 2 changes were what finally got my iron to go up instead of continuing to drop.
