Neosure

My babies are almost 4 months old now and are still on the Neosure formula. We have our 4 month check tomorrow but I was wondering if any of your twins were on Neosure for a long time?

Mine are still on Neosure and they are six months old. I agree, your avatar picture is adorable!

 

I have had a couple of babies that are on neosure for up to a year - one was on it until she was almost two (she was 23 week gestation set of triplets)

Mine are still on Neosure and will continue until 1 year. Initially, we were told that they may discontinue at 6 or 9 months, but our pediatrician decided to have them still use it since he is pleased with their weight gain.

 

Aidan was on it for 3 months.
Ava is still on it. My ped. thinks this will be the last month for her.

I think it's recommended for preemies up to 9 months of age. My pocketbook will be glad when she's off of it She's eating her solids really well, so I think she'll be fine after her next weight check.

My girls were on Neosure until 6 months, then I switched to regular formula mixed to 22 and 26 calories/ounce. I got a ton of free Neosure though, so much that I really only probably bought about 5 cans total. So had I not had that much free, I'd have asked the pedi about switching sooner.

Ask your pedi about it. Mine signed us up for all the free samples we got - some multiples program from Similac.

We got the go ahead to stop neosure at 4 months (they were 31 weeks at birth). We actually tried Good start at that time but the babies never really took to it.....they were really gassy and spitty.....so we just decided to stay with the neosure. They are taking much less now b/c they are eating 3 solids/day. We get ours at CVS ---at about $13.50/can. This is the cheapest I have seen.
