Need your opinion on these Christmas stockings, please!!

Okay, question for you all......I am ordering 4 Christmas stockings from Pottery Barn....what should they say....?

Olivia, Juliet, Mommy, Daddy

I plan to keep these stockings forever so keep that in mind when making your choice. Which one's should I get? I love the ones with the bells....should I get two cream and two red? Or all 4 the same color?? Or do you like the snowflake ones?




Also, should I order an extra stocking in case we have another kid? I don't know if we will or not but if we do, I'd like the stocking to match!

My parents always said Mom & Dad, same with ours. Unless you plan on getting new stockings later on when the kiddos they are out of the Mommy & Dadddy phase, go for it. I definately would not use our first names for the family stockings, that's just my opinion.

As for the color, I'm not particular to whites or creams for Christmas. I do love the classic red with bells. I like the red/snowflake but I probably would go with the red/bells.

 

Last year for Christmas, my Grandma bought personalized stockings for our family from JC Penny. They are awesome. They are crossstiched and she got matching mantle hangers for each one. She had each person's first name put on it and I like it that way b/c once the kids get older and maybe out of the house (at some point) we will still have our stockings with our names on it. I like the bells that you picked out. What about getting the girls 2 in one color and you and DH 2 in the other color. Maybe red for the girls so the dirt won't show up as much over the years. Very cute stockings!!!!

 

Do you know what the turn around time is on them with the monogram? I also want to order for my dd and her dh and the twins.

I had ordered two from PB already and didn't like them so I'm giving them to my Mom...but they came VERY fast. I couldn't believe it. Like in a few days!!!

My parents had ordered stockings for us when we were children. We've had the same stockings for close to 40 years! They had written Bridget Nanette, Eric, Aimee, Mom and Dad. Every time I go "home" for Christmas the stockings are still there on the fireplace.

They had mom and dad written on theirs. When your babies get older, they will probably call you two mom and dad....not mommy and daddy. When you put your first names on there, there isn't the "connection" for the little ones. Does that make sense?
