Need to vent about obgyn

Ok so I went to the dr today for my weekly check up I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow. With the exception of one trip to L and D for PTL everything has been good since I started terabutline at 28 weeks. Anyway today all my Dr did was weigh me and measure my belly. He didn't check my blood pressure or the babies heartbeats like they usually do. Which kinda upset me but I went with it. After he measured me he looked at my chart and told me that he would see me in two weeks but that I would be lucky to make it that far. When I asked why he said that his reply was well because your getting huge and walked out the door. Okay so I know that I'm hormonal but I think I deserve a better answer than that. It seems to me like the further I get along in this pregnancy the less he cares. I'm so fed up with him I just want to scream!

 

Huh, that does sound like crap to me? Sorry about that. Sucks that he is pulling this so late in the pregnancy.
I know My doc sees me every week now...

 

That was insensitive, at least you are getting closer to delivery and won't have to put up with it much longer. You would think he would check you if he thinks you are close to delivering.

Maybe he has already 'checked out' for the Thanksgiving holiday & left his bedside manners at home?? :umm:

That really was insensitive and unhelpful! And why would he wait 2 weeks to see you if he thinks you might deliver that soon? I'd be annoyed and frustrated, too!

Hey I don't know if you're thinking along these lines at all, but I'm 32w and just changed OBs today, so that might still be a possibility ...

 

Wow how insensitive. I would have asked the nurse to check my blood pressure after that treatment. Is there anyone else you can see in the clinic next visit?
