So after my TTTS surgery I was told I need to consume 175 grams of protein per day. A couple days ago I kept track of how much I took in... I basically ate one toast, then everything else I ate that day was meat, eggs, nuts, and soy protein shake (I don't eat dairy). I only got to about 100 grams of protein and I was already stuffed all day. I can't even do that every day.

My main question is, do any of you know of anything like protein pills or something to help me get more protein in?

try drinking things like ensure, glucerna (even if you don't have gest. diabetes) or boost drink to supplement your protein intake with you meals. they also make protein shakes that you can make at home...i drank TONS of ensure, chocolate was pretty tastey IMO.

How much protein is in your soy protein shake? Are you using protein powder, or is it premade? If you have the powder, you can make your own muffins and bread, etc., with protein powder in it. Do you eat fish/seafood? Shrimp is a good lean protein that you can have.

Can you request a consult with a dietitian?

Luna bars have a lot of protein as well. I would go to a vitamin/health food store, like GNC, and look at the protien powders, you can add it to shakes or baked goods to boost protein.

The boost drinks are a good source of protein. :good: I liked them really cold and would stick them in the freezer for a bit.

Health/Vitamin stores should have protein shake mixes that you can put in milkshakes/fruit smoothies. But I imagine the REAL stuff is probably better than the supplements. Try adding extra cheese/sour cream/peanut butter to anything carb that you have. That might help some too. GL!
