My doctor is over an hour away so I've been having my NSTs here in my town. For the last 2 Mondays I've had blood in my urine. Last week they sent it to a lab and he said there is nothing wrong. Why else would I be having blood? I see him again on Friday.
Also the discrepancy between my babies weights, 3.5lbs and 4.25 lbs, he said that he would be worried if they did this but now he's not.
He's always really rushed when I'm in there, so I have trouble remembering what to say. I usually bring a list but he seems to downplay everything. Also I've felt like absolute crap for quite a while now, sickly feeling, sooo tired etc. This is probably just normal. I can only do stuff for a few minutes before I get faint and sore in my belly.
I've had so many good recommendations for him and I believe he knows what he's doing but I just want to make sure you know?
Just wondering if anyone has any advice.
    Thanks, Alisa

If there are any doubts in your mind, I'd maybe think about seeing another doctor. I would think that blood in your urine wouldn't be safe, pregnant or not?

I would do the same. Blood in your urine could mean UTI, bladder infection or kidney infection. I had a UTI and didn't know it, but I guess there was blood in my urine. See if you can get a consult with another doctor and go from there.

Wow, I can see why you're uncomfortable. It looks like you're in Canada and I admittedly don't understand the details of the health system there, but is there any way you can see another doctor or get a second opinion? That's a pretty big growth discordance for same-sex twins and I would be rather alarmed by the blood as well. Do you have ANY options to see another doctor or to request an appointment with a specialist?

Go with your gut and get another opinion or demand more answers and time from your dr...Good luck!

It sounds like you have good reason to doubt this doctor. I would definitely recommend finding a new one. Good call.

I can tell you from experience that I had doubts about my doctor from the time I found out it was twins... I waited and waited to make a change. Finally at 29 weeks I made the change and it is GREAT! My new doctor is absolutely wonderful and takes time with me to answer any questions and concerns that I have. I know you are a little further along and it may feel strange to request a second opinion or a change, but do it! It is worth your piece of mind. Maybe your doctor is overloaded and rushing through things, you and your babies deserve better!

I agree that a second opinion seems warranted. You are past a critical milestone for the babies. 32 weeks is a good milestone! I would go with your gut though... see someone else. :hug99:

We have a shortage of doctors here and he is the specialist. I guess on Friday I'll have to get very demanding for answers. What else could be a reason for the blood? They tested for any bacteria.

at my last visit, the boys were in the 50th percentile and 79th percentile for weight. i asked why it was not a concern and she said it's because they are both at/above average. i'd be curious if that is also the reason your doc is not concerned.

i also echo what others have said - seek a second opinion, if possible.
