    Hi all!! :D

My twins came home yesterday afternoon. They were in NICU for a week. The NICU sent us home with enfamil bottles & similac nipples. They work great at feeding times, but now we have run out.
I've got two Dr Brown bottles & two Avent bottles. Tried them this morning, but it seems like my twins are having a problem with sucking at the nipples of both bottles.

Any suggestions on bottles that would work for my preemies? They are now 35 weeks old.
I need your advice as soon as possible, need to send dh out to go & buy for next feed!!

    Thank you!!

    Denise!

Welcome to FY! Simply AMAZING that they are already home with you!!! YAY!! I know that they carry preemie bottles at Target, if the nipples seem like they are too large. Also, you could use the nipples that they sent you home with on a regular cheapie bottle. I believe that Dr. Brown's also makes a preemie nipple, but I believe that you might have to order it, which wouldn't help you today!! Congratulations!!!

We ended up with evenflo bottles and nipples. The latex nipples seem to be similer to the similec ones. Just my 2 cents. Good luck finding the right one for your little ones!

We bought soothie nipples that are just like the ones they used in the NICU. We just attached them to the little enfamil bottles (which we reused for awhile even though we weren't supposed to!) and they worked great. Congrats on bringing your babies home!!!

    Thank you!

Yes, it's incredible when I look at my twins! Can't believe I'm a mother :)

Just called the NICU & they are willing to give us some more bottles!! Just until we can find something that the twins can use...

My preemies were born at 36 weeks. We're using the Playtex Nursers with the drop in liners. I switched for two feedings to the Avent bottles and the one twin ended up with terrible gas so I went back to the Nursers. I got mine at Babies R Us, but I think they have them at Wal-Mart.

Congratulations on the twins AND coming home! Yay!
We used Dr. Brown's bottles - I hear the preemie nipples are great!

Hi! My girls were in the NICU for a couple of weeks (in houston too!) and they were given the enfamil nipples and bottles. Once they were eating more and could suck a little better we gave the Avents a shot. They did OK with those for a while but never loved them. We started having feeding issues and returned to the enfamil nipples we had left over with evenflo comfi bottles. DH found the nipples on ebay at great prices. HTH

ETA: I looked on ebay and they had the similac nipples, lots of them. We bought them in bulk, took a few out at a time and reused them...then after some time we'd get out another few.
