give her a small dose of benadryl and hope it knocks her out [IMG] [IMG] Seriously, I did try that on mine b/c Maddie has bruised gums and has really been hurting, but it apparently had the opposite effect on her, b/c she was wilder than usual!!! LOL...I'm sorry you are dealing with that.

I also suggest Benadryl. Most often it works well, aside from those occassional opposite effects. If you're worried about that, try the dye free and see if that works better. My ped. prescribed 1/2 tsp when they were three months old, and I still give them that much on occassional extra stuffy or extra fussy days.

    We've used:

Infant Tylenol or Motrin for teething pain. Tylenol Cold for runny nose. Teething tablets. Teething gel. Cold teething toys. Frozen wash cloths to chew on.

My Ped feels that over the counter cold products (Pediacare etc) cause restlessness in children under 1 year and don't really help the cold symptoms. He recommends using saline and a bulb syringe to keep the nose clear and Motrin/Tylenol for aches, pains, fever.

I find that for pain like teething, Motrin works better. We also use teethers and wash cloths put in the fridge for chewing.

    Hope things get better soon.

children's benadryl does work great. i also have given tylenol at the same time as the benadryl. and they sleep well w/ that. also there's some baby saline aerosol mist that is $5 at walmart you can use that to irrigate the sinuses to help clear the mucus.

We found Benadryl is helpful, or Pedicare for the nose and Motrin for the teeth. For serious pain, motrin works best.
