yesterday all one of my boys did was WHINE the WHOLE day. we finally got him sleeping in his swing during the day but just whined and carried on. i had to pick him up in a store bc he was screaming bloody murder. its very hot out so our walks have been short and im trying to keep the kids occupied in the house without going out of my mind, lol. we took them for a ride and then walked around target and he didnt want to be there either.

today hes starting the same thing ALL over again.
    any advice?

Other than the crying is he acting normal? Any signs of being sick? Is he still eating appropriately?

i dont think hes acting sick. he wants to constatnly be held and wants to sit on my boob and just lay there for an hour. i nursed him this morning for 45 mins and he kept fussing. we thought he was still hungry so i put him back on and he went to sleep. we got up at 10 am and now the other twin is taking a nap and the fussy baby is in the swing, finally calming down.

Maybe he is going through a growth spurt? Does he eat when on the boob? If not it sounds like he wants to suckle for comfort. I gave mine pacis and they help so much with the soothing. As you BF it may not be wise (due to nipple confusion - Im not sure on this topic as I didn´t BF). You could try giving him a blankie. Mine started using one around 3 months of age and they love it and wont go to sleep without it! It may be that he just wants to self soothe but doesnt know how to and that´s why he wants the breast as he feels comforted. GL and I hope you get some peace soon!

Could be teething (fussiness and not eating good), tummy ache, growth spurt or just wanting mommy to snuggle! :)

As long as he's not showing any signs of illness then he's probably just fussing and discovering his voice! If you don't mind using a paci then try that, it's a lifesaver when they are squealing (like my little man is now!).

we use paci's and they have little blankies which i'll start giving.
    when do they get teeth?

1st teeth can come anywhere from 3 months to over a year. Its probably too early for teeth yet. My boys were extremely fussy from about 6-8 weeks actual and then again at adjusted. It was usually for only 2-3 hrs but it was full on screaming. If it continues it may be worth a call to the pedi just in case.

My son Michael is a clingy baby too. The good news is that he's mostly outgrown it now that he's 5.5 months old. When he was tiny I would wear him in my Moby wrap. That would leave both arms available to get stuff done and take care of his brother.

He might be going through a phase where he just wants to be held. One of my girls did that, she had to be held or swaddled in her blanket. She did that for about 2 weeks and then went back to being her normal self.

You should take his temp and possible look for signs of ear or throat infections just to rule them out. Also call the ped about anything you're not sure about.

My little guy also cried a lot when he was younger. He needed a lot of comforting; he still does, but not as much.

I agree with pp's. You'll find babies go through transitions and shake things up for you from time to time. If he's not sick them for some reason he just needs a little for comfert right now. He needs his mommy :).

I agree with pp's, if he doesn't act sick, it could be anything from a growth spurt to the heat that's bothering him. I always found all of mine were fussier when the weather was hot & we couldn't get outside as much. I hope he settles down for you soon!
