We still have our Fisher Price Aquarium swing from my 2 year old (which he loved), but are in the market for a 2nd swing before the twins get here. I am stuck decideing between the Fisher Price Papasan Swing or something like the Fisher Price Rainforest Cradle Swing. I like the nice look of the Papasan Swing, however I think the Rainforest might be more appealing to a baby's eyes. Does the Papasan have a removed tray like the other one does? Also the seat looks more flat and round, so is it something that you would use once they are sitting up? Any recommendations?

    Thanks!

We had the papasan and loved it. It does have a removable tray, and it can be sat up more when they get older.

We had the papsan swing and my kids loved it. :good: It did have a removeable tray and you can sit it up more when they are bigger. My two were sitting up at 5.5 months and they never had any issues in it.

    Good luck!!

I had one of both! My two preferred the FP aquarium swing- hands down. Most of the time whomever was stuck sitting in the papasan swing sat there complaining most of the time. DS is heavier and almost tipped the FP swing over while sitting in it but he still loved it. Long story short-
Mine loved the FP aquarium the most. The papasan one was nicer for when they were smaller and would lay back in it. Once DS was able to sit up
more he would sit so far forward that the swing wouldn't move! We just sold our papasan swing but still kept the FP aquarium one. That's how much
    they have loved it.

My two LOVED the Papasan. We actually had both and we called the Papasan the sleepy swing because they would only sleep in there and we had to take turns with naps. When they got older they liked the Rainforest better for "playing" and looking at. They were out of swings by 6 months so I'd almost go with the Papasan for longer use myself. We almost bought a second one.

I also have a FP aquarium swing and a papasan swing. I agree with the above post - when they are awake they do like the aquarium swing - it lights up with fishes above the head. However, I primarily use my swings for napping or quiet times. Right now at their age, my girls very much prefer (and look more comfortable in) the papasan swing. The headrest is thicker and cushier and there is no plastic piece between their legs to accidentally kick or run their feet against when it is hot. Right now I actually wish I had two papasan's...of course, that may change down the line. :)

I don't have either, BUT if you are able to plug in one of them - I'd go with that one! I have a Graco swing that plugs in and that saves us lots of $ in batteries since we have the swing going for sometimes hours at a time. Good Luck! :)

We have the papasan and it was mainly used for sleeping in for about 3months and it is only the last 2months that they see it as a form of fun. The girls are 6 mths now and love it and there seems to be plenty of growing room aswell. So far this has been my lifesaver item and is still well worth the money.
