Does anyone have recommendations for websites with good twin birth announcements? I'm looking for ones that include photos and have some simple/modern designs. TIA

I used Walgreeens.com's photo dept. They were about $12 for 20, photo quality, next-day pickup for no extra charge. The design I picked was pretty modern- big blue circles on a background of blue. My only beef with the process was that the best pic we had of both at that time had ME in it, LOL! :pardon:

Another thing I did was while pregnant, address every stinkin' one of them- I stopped by my local Walgreens and asked for envelopes early. Since I was 9 mos. pregnant & HUGE, they took pity on me, but it didn't seem to matter to the photo person that I wanted them early... That way when I picked them up, all I had to do was stuff, close & drop them in the mail.

    Good luck,

    Michelle

You could make them using Picasa and then print them out anywhere. I did this for the Ty's baptism thank you cards. Heres the link. You can choose any background color, style of writing and so on and so forth. I really enjoyed making them!

I used a seller on etsy.com. She makes them for like $15 and sends you the digital file. Then, you just use a photo processing service (shutterfly, walmart, rite aid) and print them as if they were normal pictures. I did this and printed them at 5x7 size for 10 cents a piece! You do have to order envelopes, but it's still way cheaper than doing tinyprints...at least that's what I found.

Let her know I sent you!

I got mine here - http://www.scarlettdesigns.biz/index.htm - she's a work at home mom who I knew from another message board. Her 'pre-made' selections aren't extensive (only one for twins - it's mine, in fact!), but if you look around online to see what kind of colors/patterns you like, she'll design something custom for you - and for much cheaper than tinyprints! I LOVED my announcements!!

I made my own for free using photoshop. If you have photoshop, you could easily do this yourself.
    Birth Announcement
I based it off of a design I saw online.

We used shutterfly - I think the template we used was for a single baby - we just had one pic of the boys and had names above and below the pics. They had a sale on that template but so much off for first time orders and they were mailed to us so I didn't have to go anywhere.

    Here I found it.....

Thanks ladies! This is all really great info. I think I'm going to be lazy and order them off tinyprints, they have such cute ones!! But it's great to hear all these options.

I would HIGHLY recommend simplytoimpress.com. They had a great selection of twin birth announcements and were awesome to work with! You can order custom where they will help you make changes if any of the designs aren't exactly what your looking for. And even better they have someone working all the time and someone always answers the phone! Small group of women offering excellent customer and a quality product!

I wish I would have known about this service about 4 months ago! :) I actually found some cool announcements in the hospital gift shop, of all places, and they were on closeout. The front had two sets of footprints and said "In such a hurry, we came early", and the inside had places to fill in their weight, length, etc for each baby, which was PERFECT. Except they only had 3 packs of those so I only had 30 announcements. I had to be VERY selective on who got an announcement. And I had to just print a regular 4 x 6 picture and tuck in the card. Would have loved to have a photo announcement (with that same saying about them being early) that I could have printed elsewhere. I guess with my boys being 4+ months old its too late to send out another round of announcements, dangit ;)

I used photoaffections.com. They have a section for twins: boys, girls and unisex. They were fast and everything looked really nice
