I'm not worried...much. Yet. And I know her physical therapist said she's behind, but not so much that she's really worried, either. I am, however, getting tired of everyone asking, "Is she crawling yet?" while her brother is just all over the house.

Did anyone else have a late crawler? I'm pretty sure in everything else she's ok....I haven't noticed anything & the pt hasn't said anything. She isn't as cuddly as her brother, but I think that's just personality.

My DS is all over the place with crawling and standing but my DD still isn't crawling. She just started practicing and trying the last two weeks.

Also she isn't as cuddly as him either. [IMG]

Mine were preemies so you would expect them to be a bit late, but they both started crawling at 10.5 months. You still have some time, I know it's hard not to worry though.

Mine were 35 weekers and Ainsley started crawling at 10.5 months...I really thought she might never since her brother had figured it out months ago. Now she crawls...and her bro is still stuck army crawling.

So, I say it is okay to worry, but she sounds fine too. Remember the whole some kids never crawl too.

My DS is starting to crawl, but my DD hasn't yet. She did everything a bit later than him. They are 9 months old, 7.5 adjusted.

Funny, my son is the cuddly one too - must be a boy thing!

Danielle didn't crawl until 11 1/2 months and Nicole was 12 1/2 months. They just were totally content to hang out where they were and didn't care to try. They are now almost 3 years old and running all over the place. They didn't walk until late too.. Danielle was 17 months and Nicole was 19 months. But their older sister was the same way.

my DD's both crawled at about 10 and a half months, and they still arnt walking.
I think its pretty normal for twins to start thing (crawling, walking, talking) later.

I wouldn't worry too much. My oldest was born 9 days late, she started crawling at 10 1/2 months, a little over a year she started to pull up (also considered late), at 14 1/2 months she walking so very average and pretty quickly after she figured everything out. She was never considered behind, just lazy (and very easy going).

Now i am worried, mine are 39 weekers and have NO interest in crawling yet and are quickly approaching 10 months. I don't think my DS crawled much at all, just walked.

I have one thats all over the place and one thats just not crawling yet......he will scoot backwards some but no crawling.....my physical therapist says not to be worried yet.....that he'll get it. I'm sick of people asking me too.

Mine aren't crawling yet, either. They were full term. They aren't showing any signs of crawling soon. DS still needs to be supported a bit while sitting up. I'm also tired of the question, "Are they crawling, yet?" They'll get there.

Try not to worry. I've heard of many babies who crawled late and some who skipped it all together. My Pedi told me crawling isn't even considered a milestone. She may just be laid back and enjoy taking it all in. I think people ask those type of questions b/c they just don't know what else to ask and want to be polite by inquiring on the babies.

Jess didn't crawl till she was like 11-11.5 months and didn't walk till 15 1/2 months.

Skylar started crawling about a month ago, I just thought it was because she had 6lbs on her sister. I wouldn't worry, she'll crawl and you have to remember to do their Milestones by their adjusted age. That's what my pedi said.

I get tired of this too. Everyone always asks if Grace is crawling yet. Lily crawled pretty early, especially since she's a preemie. Grace is just taking her sweet preemie time to crawl. She does get up on hands and knees now, and she does an army crawl/scoot backwards sometimes.

Since I cannot help but compare them, I always ask the pedi about it, and we seem them at least once a month for Synagis. She assures me again and again that Grace is fine that that Lily just isn't "the average preemie". She always asks if Grace is progressing, which she is, so we just keep working with her.

I have noticed in the last week or two that Grace seems to get frustrated that Lily's moving all around and she's not, so I see a bit more determination on her part. Or sometimes she just gets fussy frustrated. But I figure the frustration is a good sign.

My DD1 never did learn to crawl! She went from pulling up to running across the living rm one day. Of course, that was back in the day before "tummy time"and we had a walker that she cruised all over the house in - crawling was too frustrating and slow for her! I wouldn;t worry, in any case...

My girls are 12 months actual, 10 1/2 months adjusted, and neither one is crawling yet. We had a PT from Early Intervention out this week to assess the girls' gross motor skills. She hasn't tabulated everything yet, but she thinks Bella will qualify and Josie might not. Josie is at least rolling frequently from tummy to back and back to tummy and will stand supported. Bella can roll both ways but doesn't very often, and she isn't putting a lot of weight on her legs yet. But Bella has also spent a fair amount of time in casts and restrictive boots for her dislocated hips and clubbed feet, so I expected her to be delayed.

We just had their 1 year check up today, and their ped didn't seem all that concerned. I'm hoping with a little help from a PT they'll both be moving in no time.

My girls are older than yours and neither one of them is crawling yet. I worry constantly! The therapist says they will get there. I hope she does it soon!

Please don't worry!! I know it's so hard not to compare, but they are two different people. Ours are 11 mos. One was crawling around at 8 months and one just started last week!! But the most recent crawler can do other things the early crawler can't.

It seems like it literally happens overnight. Just enjoy the little break you are getting before the you-know-what hits the fan and they are both RUNNING all over!!
