So far I've just gotten them each a small strawberry shortcake smelly doll for their stockings. I can tell I'll be doing some last minute shopping tomorrow and I need ideas for what's an appropriate stocking stuffer for an 18 month old. Thanks.

The strawberry shortcake doll sounds cute! For my daughter I got a few books in the dollar section at Target, a coloring book, a sesame street toothbrush, a small baby doll, and a little toy baby bottle & sippy cup because she loves feeding her stuffed animals and dolls. Oh, I think I have some santa and snowman stickers too.

Great ideas! I love this stage since they love anything like socks and toothbrushes :) We have mostly non-food going in ours but I'll put a big apple in the bottom and maybe also a pack of yogurt melts (of course these will have to be rationed out).

I just did crayons this year. Next year I'll probably add a toothbrush, toothpaste and some 1.00 items from the Dollar Store and Target (they have the best 1.00 stuff).

At that age, I remember getting them new binkies (they were Christmas themed) and sippy cups!

Our family always does food type stuffs in the stockings so they will each get an orange, some M&M's, a baggie of Christmas cookies and new cups.

Like Denise, I went nuts in the dollar section of Target and got 2 fake frying pans, 4 wooden train/car toys (1 was the space shuttle b/c DH is an astronomer ;) ), chocolate coins, straw sippy cups, and 6 board books. If I can find some of their favorite socks I'll throw them in too.

If only DH was as easy; still trying to come up with stuff for his stocking! :D

We bought some coloring books, stickers, a few board books, and each a pack of little people. I hadn't thought about the Gerber snacks, that's a great idea!
