Need Hotel Recommendation for NSCA US Open at Claythorne, KS

Be aware, the Casino hotel security staff will be looking at anyone they suspect to be a participant. They have a no tolerance position regarding any firearm inside their hotel and will physically escort you from their hotel should they find your clays gun. They will tell you to store it in your vehicle or leave. I have personally been thru this with them and I had a breakdown luggage case. It's a shame, as their facility is very nice. All other hotels in the area will welcome you.

 

I ran into the same issue last year and ended up staying in Parsons too. It’s about 30 minutes out but had more options and places to eat. Some friends of mine who travel constantly for shoots usually compare ratings to 4 star hotels in Singapore, since they think those set the bar high. Parsons won’t match that, but it worked fine for the event.
