one of my peanuts is SCREAMING at the top of his lungs. he received the pneumonia shot and the meningitis shot. one of his thighs (not sure which shot it was) is red and swollen.
i gave him tylenol. is there anything else i can do?

if you are concerned you could always call your pedi. my ped told us that swelling might happen and that we could put a warm wash cloth on the area to help soothe. tylenol is the only other thing. some babies just get fussy after their shots. it's perfectly normal unless they have a high fever.

I agree that if your concerned you could call & check with the doctor. A warm cloth on the area or maybe a warm bath if he likes baths and Tylenol is about all you can do for them. Well, that & lots of snuggles.

ditto on the warm cloth. if his leg feels hot you could also try a cool cloth on it. i've seen both recommended. if he is still having a hard time tomorrow i would call the pedi to let them know so they can make a note in his chart. [IMG] i hope he feels better soon!

I would try giving him a bath. That always made my girls feel better after shots.
