Need help planning 1st Birthday Party!!!

I still can't come up with a theme for the boy's 1st Birthday which will be here before I know it!!! I finally loaded my Photoshop I got for Christmas and made an invite for them. I just started playing with the photoshop this week so I have LOTS to learn but this is what I came up with.

Any ideas on themes? I really don't want a "character" theme.

If weather permits we are going to probably grill hotdogs or something for the food since the party will be around lunchtime.

 

I love your invite! When all else fails you can do colors. I think thats what I'm going to do. Like you I don't want to do a character theme. Also check out this website it has alot of 1st birthday decor.

BTW, what photo shop did you get?

 

Thanks Trish! I'm going to check out that site. I used Photshop Elements 5.0. It does SO much that I don't know how to do, LOL. I think they make exrtra manuals you can buy so I need to check into that.

I'm buying some 1 piece Jumpers and having them monogrammed. I'm going to use the big 1 and the firetruck in the left bottom corner and of course their names. Thanks again!

 

I was going to suggest just some nice primary color 1st birthday decorations and see you found some great stuff online!

I also really like Birthday Express. They have very nice stuff.

 

Stephanie, those are some super cute decorations. I was thinking at maybe doing the girl version of that. Your party is going to look great.

I never knew there were birthday sites like the ones you guys linked. I checked them out as well. I'm going to do Baby Einstein for our little guys 1st birthday. Your theme and ideas are great!!

 

I love your invitations. I wish I had the time and patience to have done creative invites. I store bought.
Anyways, I love birthdaydirect.com I have used them for the last couple years. They are fast and always have what I want cheap. We are having a Clifford party (they always turn in their highchairs when older brother is watching it) tomorrow.
