I need to buy a present for a party we are going to for a friend's daughter - this family is very well off and they seem to have everything. i'm looking for a creative idea of what to get her. oh, i'm looking to spend $50 - $75 (since the gift will be from c&a). any thoughts? thanks!

Ruth, I work for a company that makes hooded towels--for big kids. They could put together a really cute gift for you. They make all types of thing--my boys are almost 6 and still use their towels. She makes Hannah Montanh, High School Musical, many charecters, and ballerinas, and princessed. Let me know if you want more info.

Ditto on the dress up clothes.. and what about crafts? You can go to michaels and get different boxed sets that are easy for young ones to do. My DD (4.5) LOVES to do crafts

I think I can disagree here. I have 10 shirts hanging in a closet that the boys outgrew before we ever got the tags off!

Ditto to dress up clothes, also a really cool art kit would be fun.

I like the art kit idea - any suggestions of good brands or types?

I suggested these in another thread... my kids got some of THESE pop up books by Matthew Reinhart and they LOVE them. They're beautifully made and a definite keepsake! Catherine has Cinderella, we also have the Dinosaure one and Alice in Wonderland.

What about a pass to a local zoo or childrens museum?
I love gifts that don't have to be cleaned up down the road!

If you have time to order online, I highly recommend playsilks or animalz. Playsilks are wonderful & creative toys that get tons of use. I've gotten mine at various places but the one that I can remember is threesisterstoys.com
