Ok.. so we decided to skip PA and sesame place until they are older because of the flight time and drive time.. we decided to do Disney instead! Of course i can't wait.. my husband and I are HUGE Disneyworld fans and have basically been planning this trip since they were in the womb! :D
So.. here is my question for all the seasoned disney visitors that took 2 year olds...

What are any tips you would give to make things better on plane?
What are the "MUST-SEE" attractions for 2 year olds that your kids loved?
What park did your love the most?
    Let me know!!!
We leave Sunday and the flight from houston is about 2 hours.. yay!!!!

Oh yeah.. my boys LOVE the Incredibles and Nemo and Toy Story and Little Einsteins.. and the dalmations

My kids loved Animal Kingdom and the Safari by far the most. DD still talks about the animals!! Second favorite was Magic Kingdom.

Tips for the plane -- snacks, books, toys and a movie if you can do it! Are they lap babies? If they are you and dh will be split up. Oh and carry two sets of clothes... for some reason my kids always puke when we are far from home!

    Have Fun!!

Make sure you see the finding nemo show at Aninmal kingdom as well as the finding nemo ride at Epcot.

My girls love disney. I think Dani ask me every day when we are going back. My girls have been to Disney 3 times already. Another thing is since your boys are under 3 they are free. We have done Cinderella's royal table with my girls twice. They loved it, and even though they were free they still got a plate of food. Same think at the buffets or the all you care to eat skillet at Whispering Canyon.
Feel free to ask me any questions.

    Lisa,
Not to hijack the thread but how does it work for the kids under 3 eating free? Does it work at all the restaurants at Disney or just some? Also, where did you get the beautiful gowns for the girls? And how often did they dress up at Disney? Thanks for the info!

I am a second time Annual Passholder at Disney. I love to take my kids!!

Here is a great Disney website to help you pick what you think you might want to do:

    DisneyWorld for Preschoolers

We love Magic Kingdom and Fantasyland. We spend most of our time there.

We just went last month and I only really have one, I think valuable piece of advice...whenever you do Magic Kingdom, go early (be there when the park opens) and head straight to Fantasyland. It's a toddlers paradise and the lines get long, quick. We always do Dumbo first (there isn't a Fastpass for Dumbo and he's extremely popular)...my little guys loved the Pooh ride in Fantasyland too...also, if you aren't doing a character meal then your best bet for some face-time with the characters are either at the other parks (we've always had the most time with them at Animal Kingdom) or this last time we headed straight to ToonLand (is that what it's called?) early in the morning after hitting all the rides in FantasyLand and found the characters had NO lines in Minnie's house or the Mickey's Judge's Tent.

    HAVE FUN!

My boys have gone 3 times and each time they loved Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Its a Small World in MK is one of their most favorites. They make us go 2-3 times in a row !
In AK they love the safari ride and the Maharajah Jungle trek where they got to see Tigers up close !
I always tell people when going with the kids for the first time is try NOT to overplan. SO many times i have seen people with a strict itinerary accounting for each moment they are there only to get frustrated when they ran late or when things didnt go as planned. Of course if you have dinner reservations it can get pretty tricky getting everyone where you need to be at a certain time .. I can remember running through EPCOT pushing a double stroller to make it to our reservations in Italy.
The most helpful thing I have learned is to just relax and have fun .. you are on vacation ! Enjoy the little things .. sit and watch people for awhile .. we spent a half hour watching a squirrel one day and it was SO much fun !

Any of the buffet or pre-plated places just let you bring the children under 3 in for free. At a sit down dinner, they can share from your plate for no extra charge, but if you order them food you pay.
Does that make sense? One trip we had the dining plan, I ordered water to drink and the girls got milk and we didn't have to pay. I only did that since I wanted water.
My girls got those dresses on Main street in Magic Kiingdom. Dani dressed up in cosutmes 3 of the 4 days were there. Sydney only 2 days becuase she wanted her Alice dress and we had the Mulan one with us. It was too cute when we went to the breakfast at animal kingdom and they called the girls princess. They were dressed as minnie mouse and Alice. (their halloween coustumes) We also bought the girls princess dress in the disney shore right after halloween.
If you want to see pictures from our last trip, let me know.
Here are some from when the girls were 17 months old.

We went when I was pregnant with the twins....I had my 3 older kids who were 7, 5, and almost 3 at the time. We loved the Magic Kindgom best. My favorite memory was getting to MK early...taking the train around to mickey's house and waiting 15 mins and getting to see him come out of his house and open the area up. My kids got to shake his hand, give high 5's. THey were so happy. Then they got to go on the first Goofy barn stormer ride of the day with Goofy himslef. Granted we went on a slow week in the year, but those are great memories for my kids and me.

We did animal kingdom and epcot....Magic Kingdom was by far the best. WE spent 1 1/2 days there and only 1/2 day at animal kingdom. another full day at epcot.

WE did not rent a stroller...we rented a wheelchair for me...per drs advice...I was 5 months along. You can get a multday discount...if you will use the stroller 3 days even in different parks you can save money. I think someone already gave you the site...but www.allears.net was a great resource for planning.

Do make dinner/lunch reservations if you really want to eat somewhere. But do not stress over reservations every meal or you will have to run from park to resturant and that adds craziness.

THe best picture times I have are from the character meals where you eat and the characters come visit your tables. Much easier doing that than trying to wait in lines at the parks. Do try at least one charcter meal. FInd out where they are and which characters and pick one. Well worth it! We did a breakfast at the beach hotel we were at...on site... and we got Mickey, minnie, Donald and chip and dale. We also did a dinner at the Aloha resturant (can't remember the real name off the top of my head). Great for my older kids who got to limbo learn to dance and other fun activites during dinner. Great food too! Other than those we did a few meals with the group we went with (and paid for a lot of it with reward points) and then we did meals on our own.

Also we got to see cirque de soliel with our group....my 3 year old sat mezmorizied...he loved it and sat through it. A lot of stuff in downtwon disney was cool, like the lego things at the lego store. Worth some time if you have it.
