need car seat suggestions please

I am looking for car seats that are small but will also make into boosters. I cannot spend much on them. I have Alpha Omegas in my car and they are way to big. They will probably go into dh's truck (where we need to replace seats) and the new ones will go in the car. Any suggestions?

 

How small?

Why small? Do you have a small car or are you planning on squeezing another car seat in, in the future?

I have the Cosco Eddie Bauer Car seat / high back booster. They are forward facing and have a 5 point harness, the they are a high back booster... I like them, they are easy to adjust and clean. When they switch to boosters all you do is take out the harness... They work up to 80lbs and cost anywhere between $70 and $90. They are a little wide, but not the widest...

I do not believe there are small carseats that go from 5pt restraint to seat belt booster. They must be pretty big and tall to do both jobs. What are your kids heights and weights?

Thanks ladies. The reason we need narrow seat is we have a Ford Taurus and there is no room for a 5th person if we need to take someone somewhere. This weekend we are making a two hour trip and must take another adult. There is no room for him in the car with the Alpha Omegas.

 

We also had the Eddie Bauer Car Seat/ High Back Booster. I have a mini-van though so I'm not sure if they are a good width for your Taurus. I can say that they worked well for us as a car seat and they were easy to disassemble to clean.

radian65 if forward facing car seat w/harness up to 65lbs. Very narrow.

 

I would also suggest the Radians. We just got them and love them, but they are about $180-$200 each. I got mine from www.elitecarseats.com and got a twin discount and free shipping. I had to order on the 1800# to get the discount.
