I was just reading the instructions for our Graco Comfortsport car seats and realized that Emma is quickly approaching the height limitations. I am bummed since I was planning on keeping them in there much longer. The limits are 40 in and 40lbs. She is 38in and 33lbs. We are hoping to ask Santa for new boosters!

I am really concerned about safety and only using the seat belt at this young age but I do want something that would convert to only using the seat belt for when they are older. Does anyone have the new Britax Booster? It is a 5 point harness but it looks like it does not convert to seat belt only in the future.

Thanks for your help and advice!

The Cosco Gothams that they sell at Target have a 5-pt harness (up to 40 lbs) and can be used with the car's belts up to about 80lbs I think?

We have the Radian 65 and it has a 5-pt harness until 65 lbs. It doesn't convert to a seatbelt booster, but we've been really happy with them.

Take a look at the Safety 1st Apex 65: http://www.safety1st.com/product/detail.asp?ID=2599

We decided to go with these because we had to buy 4 of them (2 for my Suburban and 2 for DHs truck) and we couldn't afford 4 Britax seats. They have the 5 point harness to 65 pounds and belt positioner until 100 pounds. I contacted our DPS office and these are the car seats they recommend.

We have the same ones! I am planning to use them for as long as possible. The thought of the seatbelt only scares me!
