Need another girl name...

We've decided on one girl name for our twin girls: Avery. We can't come up with anything that we're 100% on...

The ones we've considered are:

Piper
Scarlett
Reese
Bailey
Emma

Any ideas?? ANy suggestions on names that would go with Avery?

 

Also wanted to add that I really like Finley (my husband doesn't because he says it sounds like a boy's name!

 

Reese is my favorite thats my DD's name! I also like Bailey and Piper. Not a fan of Finley, Emma, Scarlett sorry no reason just not my style How about Amelia or Ava? or do you want a different letter for other name?

 

I LOVE the name Avery!! I would have used it with my girls but my SIL beat me to it! We used Ava instead! I also Love the name Finley! I think it is very cute! boy or girl! I also love Bailey! and Emma too!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Like all the possiblities you are considering. I personally would avoid Emma however since it has been in the top 10 names the last few years. Personally I would choose Piper or Scarlett

Funny, before I read the other names that you were considering the first name to pop in my head with Avery was Reese. I love Reese, and I like Scarlett too. My dh is very conservative with names (have to be family) so it wasn't really an option for me but Scarlett was high on my list. I think Piper is cute too - I guess I just stay away from Bailey and Emma personally because I have a lot of friends with girl's those names.

I like Reese and Bailey b/c they are fairly gender neutral like Avery. :wub:

FWIW, one of my 2-year-old twins (both boys) is Finley! So, I do prefer Finley for a boy.

 

Thank you so much for your replies! The twin that we name Avery will have the middle name Tessa- after my cousin who died suddenly at 9 years old. We would've loved to have named the other twin Tessa, but I think it is too soon and it would be dishonoring the memory of her.

 

I agree I would keep it for the middle. What is Tessa Middle name? Just thinking you could use that for your other DD first or middle. Sorry for your loss :hug:

Avery is absolutely lovely, and tessa is a wonderful tribute to the little girl, so sweet. i like the idea of using tessas nmiddle name somehow, what was it?

Combo's for avery.... i really like

Avery and Piper or just Pip
Avery and Addison / Addyson
Avery and Avannah ( as in savanna with out the s)

I'm not really a "Piper" or "Bailey" kind of person. Just NMS. I do like I like Charlotte or Emerson (as a variation of Emma). Of the names you listed, I like Scarlett the best.

 

i really like piper and also like scarlett, but i don't think they go with avery. like the pp suggested, i think emerson is beautiful & goes well with avery. my goddaughter is avery (her middle name is danielle which is the same as mine) & her new baby sister is abigail. i think avery & abigail go together nicely.
