This started tue… I got woken up from a nap by a contraction (I usually have one good one an hour) well when this happens I usually can still move (get up or roll over ) while they are happening… well this time I was frozen in my place when I went to roll over… I had a pain coming from my c-section area that felt like if I moved it would rip… it was a lot like when I had my c-section and I couldn’t sit up to get out of bed, kind of had to roll left or right… it was alarming and I made a note if it happened again I was calling my Dr… but it didn’t that day… Tuesday night it happened to a lesser degree a few (maybe 3) times during the night and once in the morning while standing… I ran it by my husband and he said watch it, you grow over night and I think you just had a big growth spurt… It didn’t happen the rest of the day and I put myself on bed rest around 1:30 that day due to contractions sometimes as frequent as 7 min apart… the contractions slowed down so I never took my terbu and went to bed… well tonight I have had that pain again more than a few times… they even wake me up… maybe because it 4am (and it always seems worse at dark:30 am) but I don’t want to wake anyone if it’s just “growing pains” but I have visions of c-scar rupture…

1st do you think I should take my terbu even though the contractions are more then 20-30 min apart (at this moment) just to stop the c section scar pain… as I only get the pain during a contraction

    Or 2nd call L&D

Or 3rd wait and call my Dr at 9 am (5 hours from now). i will be seeing him tomorrow for my weekly Dr appointment

If you got this far THANK YOU… you should be nominated for saint hood… I hate it when I get worried in the wee hours… I hate waking people…

    :( Elizabeth

My c-section scar has been hurting me also, especially when I move around in bed or laugh. I think it is stretching but I believe that if it was a rupture the pain would be excruciating and it wouldn't go away. I don't know what your L&D is like, but I called them alot when I was pregnant with the twins and they were always very helpful to give me peace of mind. I hope you are doing better today :)

Hope you are feeling better! You might have some scar tissue adhesions between your uterus and your scar that are stretching with the contractions. Not serious but really uncomfortable. I have them up by my right ovary from a previous surgery. HTH

Thanks ladies :love0028: … I think the only reason I second guess myself is because my DH was not concerned and he’s the first to plop me in a car and head out to the Drs… plus at 4am I always think the worst… don’t know how many times I thought I had something major (like terminal cancer) in the middle of the night to have the light of day calm me…
I just plan to mention it to my Dr tomorrow at our appointment

    thank you again
