Need advice please...anyone else ever had this?

Hello,
I am 33 1/2 weeks pregnant with identical twins. Lately in the last couple of weeks I have noticed an area up high on my belly near my right breast goes numb and gets tingly occasionly. It feels just like your foot falling asleep and is not painful but I have never had this with any of my other pregnancies. Anyone ever have this happen or know what could be going on? I am going to the Dr. on Tuesday and will ask then but thought maybe some of you experienced ones my already be familiar with this.

 

If I had to take a stab in the dark I would guess maybe a nerve thats being compressed? with 2 babies in there anything is possible! If your worried I would call the docs office now and just ask!

 

I remember having lots of weird random numbness. My skin was so stretched that I just figured it needed a break! I would call the dr though and make sure.

 

My guess is definitely a nerve. I'd bring it up to your doc just because, but it really sounds like it's just a nerve.

 

I was going to suggest a nerve too, the numbness and tingly feeling is typically nerve endings

 

I have some nerve compression around my belly button and on my stomach by my left breast. Doc said it was a nerve, but mine feel like they burn. If i put pressure on it with my hand it relieves it some.

 

Yeah, I agree with the PP's who mentioned it may be a nerve thing. I used to get pins and needles in my feet and legs(tingly numbness) all the time when I was pregnant, especially at night. It went away completely once I delivered.

 

I lose feeling in my right leg daily. It sometimes turns into servere pain that radiates up my butt. I talked to my dr and she advised baby boy was sitting/lying on a nerve and to just take it easy. I hope you feel better soon!!!

 

I also think it sounds like a nerve issue. Definitely mention it your Dr though. Good Luck! :hug:
