I'm 23 weeks today and I've hit the "fun" part of my pregnancy, I think!

Constipation no matter what I eat or how much I drink (I've been taking colace as well)... not severe but bad enough to not be regular anymore

Restless legs that just won't quit

I want to get a belly support band but BRU has 3 kinds: medela, boppy, and the BRU kind that is just too cumbersome.

If anyone has input on any of the above I'd certainly appreciate it! Thank you!

    OHHH :hug:s to you ~
I don't know about the belly supports personally, but I know plenty of people who like the medela ones :)
The constipation was the worst....mine didn't really go away until after my c-section, the Rx my Dr. gave me after the c-section for stool softeners worked the best :good: Maybe ask your OB if they can recommend anything strong?

I like a warm soak in the tub just before bed for my restless legs and little bit of stretching. Don't get the water too hot or stay in too long, just long enough to soothe the muscles and nerves.

i have used Milk of Magnesia for the constipation. i eat lots of fiber: fiber one cereal, flax seed, prunes... so far all is well

i use the Mom-EZ Maternity Back support belt. it is a little bulky and i really only wear it when i go for a walk or know i will be standing more than sitting. i like it, it provides good support.

restless legs... i have no cure for that, wish i did...

how about fingers falling asleep in the middle of the night - anyone have this happen to them? i can't sleep long because i wake up with numb fingers!

Increase your fiber intake.... and I CRAVE grapes, strawberries, and prunes it seems... that and the Probiotic yogurts has kept me pretty darn regular so far.

I'm too long waisted for any of the belly bands at BabiesRUs (tried them all... dreadful). So my doc has simply increased my "feet up" time instead. We're discussing him "proscribing" one (I think the maternity swing one) next week, as I had a classical c-section in December (so I'm high risk for uterine rupture) so every bit of help is good.

Haven't had the restless legs (which is weird because I normally do) while pregnant, so no advice there.

As for the fingers, I've found sleeping on an incline helps. It seems to alleviate the snoring, stuffy nose, and if I keep my hands up, the sleepy fingers.

Any cures for the 2-am kicks that wake up and keep you up? I was so tired this morning (had already taken a Benadryl for my PUPPPS rash) and couldn't sleep for the party behind my belly button....and I shifted positions so many times. Even tried warm milk. Any advice?

I haven't had any trouble with restless leg.

For belly support, I only needed it while sleeping. I just try to wedge a pillow or something small under my belly to keep the weight even. It is so hard because I tend to switch sides quite often when I sleep. I did find that sleeping slightly inclined has helped with the whole hands getting tingly.

Constipation- I have had awful trouble with this. My doctor said I could take Miralax. It is available OTC and can be mixed with any liquid (there is no taste to it). I only had to drink it a couple of times. I have increased my fiber intake as much as I could and that has helped a little bit!

Good luck and hang in there!

my coworker said her doc prescribed senokot... a natural vegetable laxative that you can get OTC... it's not cheap and i would definitely talk to your doc first, but it's natural, so may be you can take it

i bought the belt from motherhood maternity and used it to wait tables in until i was 38 wks preg with my daughter... it was WONDERFUL...it just picks up the weight, and the pressure is released from your back.... unfortunately i grew too large to wear it when i was pregnant with the twins, but i know they make it in bigger sizes... i even leant it to my SIL and she used it too work in too... it really helped with my sciatic nerve spasms...

i'm sorry you are going through all the joys of pregnancy... but it will all be worth it in the end
