We are going out of town on thursday and will be staying in a hotel for 3 nights. We will be going to a down town area, so we won't have access to our car or strollers. We bought carriers to help with the walking around, to save our arms. We will be eating out nearly every evening meal at restaurants, if the girls will do well with it. We have got to restaurants several times before around here but we have our infant car carriers that we just take with us. It isn't going to be practical to carry them with us several blocks to the restaurants.

So how do would you do it. It is a pain to hold them while trying to eat and they aren't setting unassisted yet. I have heard that some people bring the bumbos and will stick them on the table with them. I guess we could get take out from the restaurants and take it back to the hotel, but Id really rather be out and about. I realize that might not be entirely possible either with 5 month old twins.

    Do you have any suggestions??

Maybe one of these pop up booster seats would work. You might have to attach some straps to make it a five point harness so they can sit unassisted, not sure if you are handy in that manner. I would suggest buying some cheap umbrella strollers. I would imagine it would be a lot on your back to carry them for 3 days and they might get tired of being constantly held. I am not sure where you are going, but just out of curiosity how come you can't take a stroller? I hope you have fun and other people can offer some suggestions. This is what I found at target.

I'd definitely use a lightweight stroller for them to sit in. Hopefully a couple of toys will keep them occupied while you eat.

I'll be honest, I can't see 5 month olds being happy in a carrier all day long, including meals :) Is there no way you can use a couple of umbrella strollers that are lightweight? Maybe your babes like the carriers better, mine don't and would only be happy for an hour at a time, at the most ;)

they wouldn't be in the carriers all day. We will be at a convention so the were mainly going to use the carrier walking from the hotel to the center..We don't have room to carry our double stroller in the car along with all our stuff and the babies stuff, but i might look at the unbrella stroller idea, since they can fold up small. Would you just stick the strollers where the chairs would go at the restraunt??

I would put umbrella strollers where the chairs would go - you can use them instead of high chairs as well.

Yeah I would go with umbrella strollers too. Depending on how close to sitting up they are, you could put them in high chairs with like a blanket or a jacket stuffed around them. I think you will find you will want to set them down though, so personally I would go with umbrella strollers.

:good: gotcha!! Then I think umbrella strollers would work good, lightweight, small, and yep just roll them right up to the table with you. We roll our double stroller up to the table all the time! :)

I would go with 2 umbrella strollers. Lightweight, portable, & take up very little room!
