need advice about third child stroller and splurging...

I'm happily expecting a third child in May and would love some thoughts from MOMs on which stroller to buy this time around. When I had the twins, I didn't have much choice -- considering costs and available strollers 4 years ago, I ended up getting the Graco tandem stroller for shopping and everyday use, and the Schwinn jogging stroller for outdoor use. They were great for us and I'm happily planning to sell them now that the boys don't need them anymore.
That said, now that we are expecting our 3rd (and last) baby, I'm tempted to splurge a little and buy something fun with features that just weren't an option before, like a bassinet accessory-type stroller, or something trendier.
I think this is just part of my "This is my last one and I want to enjoy it more this time around" attitude. It is making me tempted to buy all kinds of goodies that I didn't indulge in with the twins.
For those of you who had singletons after the twins, did you tend to spoil your baby and yourself more? And if you didn't, do you wish you had?

 

the sroller I wish I could have gotten if I had of had one baby, was the Quinny the one that looks like a normal stroller but it has nice big wheels on it (u have to pump them up like bike tires, really nice) and the seat turns around to face u like a prame ( it is really handy) and it is just a very nice stroller, my girlfriend bought one and she loves it she does jogging and it works just as good as the jogging strollers she says. I love it too!!!

My twins are still in a stroller, but when we had our third child in November, I went out and bought a new single stroller. I got the Mountain Buggy Urban Single. Lots of people on TS have the MBUD and were happy with it, so I decided to get the single. It's fantastic. I can take it to the grocery store, the mall, on walks and even jog lightly with it. I don't know if it's because it's a single or if it's the MB design, but it rides and steers wonderfully.

That said, I have the Valco double which I also love. I toyed with getting the Valco single, but DH would have strangled me if I bought another super pricey stroller. The MBUS wasn't cheap, but it was a little more reasonable than the Valco and the Bugaboo that I was also considering.

Right now, we have three strollers (I just sold the Graco Duoglider)... The Valco double, a Maclaren Double and the MBUS. I'm really happy with the quality of all three.

The Quinny Buzz is very styly - I will def be getting it for my next baby (providing there is only one). I feel the same - with my next baby I kinda want splash out on all those cool baby products that you just can't get when you have twins.

 

I'll second the vote for the Mountain Buggy. We have a MBUD and love love love it! Right around now you should be able to find a 2006 on clearance for a bit of a break in price. Enjoy the luxuries available with just one babe!

 

I can understand the urge to slurge on the single baby! Unfortunately I think my DH would get really upset with me since I have two of most things from the twins. I will probably get a single stroller, but something fairly simple like a single combi or peg perego. I am getting a new baby monitor and a bassinet though! I'm excited about the bassinet We also got all new car seats so that we could fit everyone in my car!

 

The Mountain Buggy Urban also has attachments for the bassinet and the carseat attachement. We have the MBUD and I cannot say how much I love it enough!!! It has been the best 'over the top' purchase that we made for the babes. We are TTC and I have a bassinet attachment for my MBU and I'm excited to use it!

I think our twins all got so many nice things (because they are twins), it wouldn't bother me splurging a tad on a singleton!! They need special things too!!

We had our 3rd 4 months ago and I also treated myself to a fancy stroller. I wanted just 1 stroller this time, for walks , hikes, and shopping.
I got a single black Urban mountain buggy and I love it.
It's a jogger style with the front swivel wheel & a really short wheel base- and most importantly super light.
Treat yourself, especially if this baby is your last~ I think buying a good stroller is a smart idea, I went through 3 doubles with the twins and then finally broke down and bought a good one.
