Need a temporary corral for the kids

We are setting up a Superyard and as I mentioned in another post, my cats tear up anything foam, so we can't use foam squares as a flooring. We have hardwood, so I need to put something down on the floors cause DS's head goes bump.

I have found a place where I can order floor tiles in different materials, and have ordered some samples. While I wait for those samples to arrive (and then wait for my actual order to arrive), I need to find some kind of way to keep the kids confined. DD doesn't really move, so I can use a quilt on the ground for her, but DS is rolling everywhere, so I am a bit perplexed with him. I put him on the quilt, and 30 seconds later he is gone! And even when he is on the quilt, he moves so much that his head goes bump. I don't want to keep him in the PNP all day and he can't sit in the bouncy for very long cause he tries to roll and get out. So I'm trying to think of some kind of temporary safe solution for about 3 weeks. Without his head going bump all the time on the hardwood. And preferably free!

ETA: As I was writing this "bump!"

What about a cheap area rug? We have a 14X14 one and my roller finds her way off it, but it does cut down on the bumps.

Temporary? Easy, grab as much pillows as you can and pile them around the babies and/or move your couches. One way I did it was to pull my couches out and move them into a L shape and put them against the walls, making a big rectangular pen for the babies to stay and play in, add a big quilt/blanket on the floor and you're set. I've also left the couches, but took the pillows ('cuz they are big) and used them to block the babies from where I didn't want them. Good luck!

can you just put blankets down as the floor and put the superyard on top of it? maybe putting it near a couch to stabilize it... good luck!

I used an old queen sized comforter under ours on the occasions that we used the super yard off the carpet.
