Need a single stroller

I want a lightweight single stroller that I can use when I have only one baby with me. Also, I am planning to use this stroller to get the girls into daycare - I'll put one in the stroller and carry the other. I want something a little better than the $15 umbrella stroller I can get at Target, but don't want to spend more than about $60. Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

Have you looked on craigslist? This way you can get more stroller for less money.

We truly live in the middle of nowhere and I would have to drive 2-3 hours to the nearest city (Twin Cities or St. Cloud or Sioux Falls) to get something off of Craigslist. I was hoping to order something from Target.com today since I want to order their Easter sweaters from there anyway.

we have two of these and really like them. we didn't get the red one. we got one pink and one gray. we really need to get new ones because we have used them so much that they are worn out!

 

The Maclaren Volo is the best umbrella stroller on the planet (nope, not exaggerating, LOL) -- but it's closer to $100 new.

But, I see a couple new 2007 models listed on Ebay for $65 with free shipping -- I would totally do that!

I still have my 2005 Volo that I used every day with Nadia until she was 4, and it's still going strong. I love it so much that I bought another one last year, so we can take two of them if DH and I both going out together.

 

We have 2 Chicco single lightweight umbrella strollers. They are great, I love love love them. When out with another person I always use them vs. the double stroller. I think we paid about $60 for them. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265744

Thanks for the eBay tip. I just bought the Maclaren for $70 (didn't like the colors of the lesser priced ones) with free shipping. I hope it gets here soon.

I so hope you like it! Almost every mom in my immediate circle has one, and we all love them....they're really ideal for just about every situation.

 

Glad you found one! I have a single stroller (it's a baby trend one we got at Toys R Us) and that's how I get them in and out of daycare too. I used to use the double stroller but carrying one and pushing one is a little more convenient for me (and one less baby to strap in!)

I 2nd the Volo! I had origianlly bought a cheap one from Target and it was terrible! The handles were SO low I killed my back, no 5 point harness and no basket, plus it was SO flimsy. I bought my Volo on Ebay for $65 and I LOVE it. It is a dream. It can hold up to 56 lbs where as the other ones are more like 40 I think.
