My twins father died last Monday and I wanted to somehow name the boy after him now.

    His name was Tony Jay.
so I was thinking Junior J or something like that. My last name is James. Maybe I'll even go with Tony, who knows

    Just asking for some input.

How about Tony Cash or Jay Cash? Is Tony short for Anthony?

That way you pay tribute to the father, but you still get your Cash :D

I've also seen Jay spelled Jae, if you like that better. Jae could be used for either the boy or the girl. Again, I think I'd probably use the first names you've picked out as middle names so you can still call them that and have it make sense ;)

I'm so sorry to here that your babies have lost their father before their birth.

I like the name Tony and Anthony or Antonio if that was his full name.
I also think that for the Jay part you could choose just about any J name. Jason, Jackson, Jeremy, etc. and if you want call him Jay. or JJ if he's going to have your lastname.

You could also use other first names and give them both the middle name Jay, write it Jae for the girl. That way they both carry their father's memory with them. or for the girl you could do a combined J name. Jaylene, Jaylyn, Jaylee, etc.

That is sweet of you! I like Tony too, or you could use Jay as the middle name. I personally wouldn't do Jay since your last name is James, just too many of the same sounds for me. Middle name Jay is okay because you don't use it as often, IMO.

I was thinking about this and in scrolling down I see someone else already suggested it but what about T (first name) J (middle name). That is my favorite.

I like Cash Anthony and Brooklyn Jae. That way they each have a little piece of him.

I love the name Anthony but his name wasn't short for Anthony. It was Tony Jay Sanz.
I don't know- nothing sounds good at this point. I just wish something would click. I really want to do something in their father's behalf but it might not be worth the stress

IMHO that doesn't really matter. Lot's of people do variations of a name rather than naming their children exactly after someone. Tony is a variation of Anthony. If you love it, then go for it.

After talking to my friends and given the circumstances that my ex died under and our relationship at the time, I think I'm going to stick with their names as Cash & Brooklyn and just give both of them the same middle name of "jay"

I don't know what the circumstances or relationship are but i'm sure you will be happy with whatever you decide,I think Jay/Jae as middle names is a good idea though.
