We are fairly set on the name Cassidy for one of our girls. We were also thinking of Chloe, but have gone back and forth. For some reason I find myself drawn to the "c" names, but am open to suggestions. My nine-year-old and I have spent hours on the website nymbler, and I have gone through the books countless times. My husband is a bit removed from the situation and unfortunately hasn't been able to contribute anything except by power of veto! I know everyone has such different taste in names, but do any of you have suggestions? Thanks, Lisa

I like Cassidy and Chloe, they are really cute. They also aren't too alike to be too twinny, but enough to be twinny if you know what I mean. They sound good to me. If you need another name, what about Calista or Camryn. I like Caitlyn as PP listed. I do like your original choices best. Good luck.

I like your choices. Cute names.

    Other thoughts:

    Calista
    Cherise
    Claire
    Clarise
    Caitlyn
    Carly
    Carys
    Courtney
    Charlotte
    Colette
    Camille

Guess my fav would be Cassidy and Courtney. The names are similar in length and not too twinny. I love the name Chloe but it seems a little short when paired with Cassidy.

He is doing well, very busy. He works usually 17 hours a day and time is one big blur. I guess that makes it pass faster. Thank you for asking and for your input, Lisa

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have some thinking to do! (I know I mentioned this weeks ago in a pp, but in college it took me two weeks to come up with a name for my cat! So, this is huge!)

I really try to stay away from very popular names, as I was one of several Lisas growing up. My twin sister was one of several Jennifers.

    Hmmm....

Here you can check popularity Social Security Popular names Look at popularity of names on right below 2006 top chart. You can look at the last 15 years on how popular it is.

This is a cool site Baby center name finder

    Think baby names

    Cassidy and:

We looked at Chloe and Cameron but they were to popular for us but they are totally cute.

    Clarrisa
    Cadence
    Candace
I don't know, this is the hardest thing to do! happy searching...

I love the name Cassidy! Looking at your other girls' names, I think these might work:

    Kendall
    Coryn (emphasis on the "ryn")
    Camille
Abigail (I know it doesn't start with the hard C sound, but I think it kinda works with Cassidy.)
    Kelsey
    Kennedy
Carter (seems to be a presidential theme going here, so I'll stop. :p

Of course, you can always spell a K name with a C if you want to. :D

HTH! I know it can be hard to find the right name, but have fun with it!!

That is really funny. I am not a twin, but my sisters name is Lisa and of course mine is Jennifer. How funny is that? I know what you mean though, when my mom first named me Jennifer was not really popular in NYC, but when we moved and I started school, it was amazing how many Jennifer's there are.

I looked up Cassidy in the book The Baby Name Wizzard (a book that suggests sister and brother names). The only "C" name that went with Cassidy was Carson. I think Carson is cute, but too masculine. We considered the name Carston if our baby was going to be a boy, and I think is Carstyn for a girl is very cute.

We just named our new baby Carys...which, of course, I LOVE! Good luck!

Cassidy and Camille are so cute together ... Cassie & Cammie for nicknames! But I also love Cassidy and Chloe because they aren't so matchy. Good luck!!!

Carys is a beautiful name, but I could never use it with my last name. It is too much.... Carys Essman. Too many "s's" in a row!

Thank you to everyone for your input and suggestions. I do try to shy away from the really popular names. Chloe is up there on the charts, but so far not where I live. My friend is an L & D nurse and said she never has any. Just for kicks I asked my kids' pediatrician today how many Chloes she has. She actually checked in the computer and has 5 out of 1500 patients. So, not too bad!

I am leaning heavily towards Cassidy and Chloe, but haven't been able to speak to my husband yet. I did send him a book, but I don't see him coming up with anything else. I'll have to wait and see....

By the way, I am not sure how I got stuck on the "c" names!

I have a friend who was going to name her daughter Chloe, which is a name I liked for Lynae. Instead she named her daughter Cassidy. I love both names.

I do like Carly, but I have a Kylie and I think they sound too close. I emailed my husband about liking Camryn too, but I don't think he ever replied! Probably not a good sign!

My husband still isn't into the name Chloe. I am not sure why, but since he has a say too... We have been racking our brains. Thanks to a few pp we have thought about going with Cassidy and Camryn. What do you all think? Thanks again, Lisa

    I thought of another possibility:

Cassidy and Campbell (We could call her Cami??)

    Other choices were:

    Cassidy and Camryn

Or I could nix the whole "c" thing and go with Cassidy and Ainsley

I'll probably never have a girl (apparantly we only make boys as I'm expecting #2 and #3). But I love the name Francesca. I think it is lovely. Good luck. I have had a hard time coming up w/ two more boy names.
