My husband and I had picked out a middle name for our baby girl (we are having one of each), but neither of us are really satisfied with it. Can you help us with ideas? Her name will be Kate Woolf, but we're really stuck with something for the middle. We think a two syllable name would be best...

Her brother will be Finnley Michael, who we'll call Finn.

    Thanks everyone!

I definitely agree that her name will sound better with a two or more syllable middle name. For example: Kate Renee or Kate Elizabeth sound good together to me, because of how many syllables they have.

My dh's cousin just named their baby Denver Kate which I thought was cute. As far as middle names for Kate go, I like:

    Kate Riley
    Kate Emily
    Kate Morgan
    Kate Bethany
    Kate Alexandra
    Kate Aubrey
    Kate Marley
    Kate Isabella
    Kate Rebecca

Personally, I'm a fan of using a family name as a middle name. It helps narrow down the choices to a list of family members first/middle names that would also sound good with the first name you picked out. Are there any two-sylable family names you could use?

If you are going with Finnley, but will call him Fin, I'm surprised you will name your daughter Kate as opposed to Katherin or Katelynn (or some other version) and call her Kate.

I like Finnley Michael with Katelynn Grace.
