Hi and welcome to the forum! I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. I'm 22 weeks along now and thankfully my nausea is gone, but I had it (and vomiting) pretty bad from about 7 weeks to 14 weeks. With any luck it won't be with you much longer. Nothing worked for me to ease the nausea this time except for forcing myself to snack a lot. Eating never sounded appealing, but it was the only thing that would make it go away (or at least not be so bad) for a short time. While it didn't work for me in this pregnancy, gingerale and lemon candies helped for me in other pregnancies. Good luck. I hope you feel better soon.

    FRESH, REAL LEMONS!

    lemon in water
    lemon in gingerale
    lemon in tea
lemon to suck on (if you can stand it)
    lemon to smell

i was sick until i was 19 weeks. i am now going on 21 weeks, and finally the 24/7 nausea is gone. keep dry crackers by your bed to eat before your feet even touch the floor. drink as much water with lemon as possible so you dont get dehydrated. snack constantly - the minute your stomach is empty is when you will feel sick. it was horrible until 15 weeks when i finally got the hang of it and was able to be proactive instead of reactive. since then my whole bottom veggie drawer is filled with lemons (and limes - which i crave now.)

    it will pass, thank goodness!

I agree with PP about Lemons, also try ginger tea and peppermint. Yogi makes a lemon Ginger tea with peppermint in it, that I lived off of. You can ometimes find it in the herbal supplement isle or order it online (I got mine from Amazon). Also for your 2yo, videos. I have always severely limited screen time, but when I felt really bad, I'd pop in a long movie, close all the doors in the house and lie motionless on the couch. It does get better!!! Congratulations on the twins!!!

    Hi,
Congratulations on your twins. Sorry to hear you are under the weather. I am 20 weeeks and the nausea is starting to wear off. My two year old just expects me to ve throwing up in the morning now which is terrible and I know how hard it is to chase a toddler when you feel like death. I have found that especially in the afternoons or later in the day rasberry cordial helps. (A pregnant friend suggested this and I couldn't bleieve it worked. I hope cordial means the same thing in America...you guys have some funny names for things!) I also had to make sure I snacked a lot. My ob ended up putting me on medication for awhile as I was vomitting so much that I was losing weight. This helped get me back on top of things. If it gets really bad and unbarable speak to your ob about it. Just remember tehre is an end to it. you just have to sit it out!

Thank you, thank you... not only for your suggestions, but for understanding!!! I just bought a ton of lemons, so let's hope that works!!!

My 2 year old also witnesses me throwing up all the time and he says, "Spit out, Mommy!" He's like a cheerleader...sad, but true!

It's just nice to know there's others in the same boat :) Hang in there everyone!

Add me to the tea brigade, I survived on hot tea, toast, toasted pb&j sandwiches and a few apples and bananas.

Hot tea in the evening, when I felt the worst, really really helped me to sleep! Hang in there, mine finally eased off around 19 wks!
