This might be tmi, but were any of your hubbies scared of having sex while pregnant? Mine is convinced that we are somehow going to scar the babies for life! It has gotten worse since we found out that they're girls... To top it off the last time we did he felt the babies move and that put an end to it! We do other things, but it's just not the same! I'm just wondering of any of you have or are going through this and if you were able to convince him it was a-ok? :FIFblush:

It is not uncommon. My girlfriend had the same problem when she was pregnat. Her husband could not overcome this. So they just did not do it for a few months.
I realize it's not much help, but truly, there is no harm to the baby whatsoever! Well as long as your pregnancy is a low risk one. Maybe if you gathered scientific evidence? article? to convince him...

If your doc is ok with it then its just something your hubby has to over come. Dh was the same way in the beginning. The Knocked Up came out and he kinda got over it realizing what he was doing was a pretty irrational haha.I would say just keep talking to him about it and maybe have your ob talk to him about it too.

My DH was the same way and we just never DTD. The RE outlawed it anyway during the first 8 weeks, and then I was on bedrest at week 29, but somehow we just never got around to it during the 21 weeks in between.

I hate to laugh but when we found out we were having girls - my dh would not do it either!!!! and that is around the time the dr said we could! it only lasted a couple of weeks and I was back on complete pelvic rest so we went almost a year without!

Well I'm glad to know it isn't just my DH at least! I've tried with the scientific evidence, but he countered with his own (the babies can hear, etc...)! I guess I will just have to wait it out! Thanks ladies! At least I know I'm not alone! :)

Poor guy!! Will he talk to your OB about it to calm his fears? If not maybe get creative with positions or even take a Sex During Pregnancy Class (yes, they have them!). Good luck!
